Mascot duties at our ladies’ FA Cup game today for some of our Panthers and Leopards! ⚽️🏆

A massive thank you to all the kids and families who came along to support — it was brilliant seeing so many of our club family there cheering the team on! 💙❤️

And I can’t believe I’m posting a photo of me with my eyes closed 😂 but I couldn’t not post our lovely U8 girls too, who had come along to cheer the team on! 🌟

🐾 Panthers vs North Shields Yellows ⚽️

The Panthers faced North Shields Yellows in their first league game today — a team with a lot of quality all over the pitch and one that proved a huge challenge for the Panthers.

But as we always say to the kids, these are the challenges that are so important. They push us outside our comfort zone, test our character and give us the opportunity to learn how to fight through tough situations. 💪

As coaches, we’ve been through it ourselves — having seasons where we were on the end of big scorelines every week, only to come back the following season and go on to beat those same teams. It’s a reminder that anything is possible with a positive attitude, togetherness and the determination to keep improving and battling through the tough games.

As I said after the game, it’s okay to feel disappointed, frustrated, angry… all the emotions! 😂 But it’s about doing something with that feeling. Don’t sulk on it — use it. Turn that frustration into some fire and take it into the next game you play. 🔥💪

We believe in every single one of these kids. We see the quality they have week after week in training, and if they stick with the targets we’ve set, believe in themselves and believe in their teammates, we know it will all come together. ❤️🐾

Absolutely soaked from the wild downpour afterwards and then rushing off to the ladies’ match for mascot duties, so no photo today! 😂🌧️

🏆 Player of the Match — Heidi ⭐️

We often ask the kids to step up and be that player who is really trying to put what we’ve been working on into practice — and Heidi did exactly that today.

She has really taken on board what we’ve been asking around receiving angles and quick 1/2-touch passing, and it was brilliant to see her putting it into practice in a tough game. 👏⚽️

Pre-season continued for the Leopards this morning as we faced a strong Newcastle City Juniors Girls team!

It was a fantastic test, with the Leopards finding themselves under pressure early on. Credit to our opposition, who played some brilliant passing football in key areas.

At half time, we spoke to the team about taking accountability and making an impact, no matter your position on the pitch. The Leopards really took this on board, and we saw a much-improved work rate in the second half. The players started winning individual battles, working harder for each other and creating chances as a team. Their hard work eventually paid off, with the Leopards getting themselves a goal late in the game. 💪

There were some fantastic saves from Eddie, who was brave as always and kept the team in the game when we were under pressure. In defence, Reed, Thomas and Zack were always looking to get on the ball and drive forward to help create attacks. They also worked incredibly hard defensively, putting in great recovery runs and making some important tackles. 💥

We also saw fantastic link-up play in the final third, with Isaac and Heidi both wanting to get on the ball in the middle of the pitch and doing a great job of spreading the play. Up top, Jack was relentless with his pressing, constantly putting pressure on the opposition defence, while also getting involved in some really nice link-up play with Oliver and Olly out wide.👏

Well done, Leopards! We’re already starting to see a massive improvement in the team’s willingness to get on the ball and battle for each other. Just one more friendly to go before the season starts! 🐆

Finally got around to our 25/26 season awards 😅🏆

Another night down the Brockwell to celebrate our Futsal, Panthers & Leopards players achievements throughout the year!

A big well done to all of the gang — we’re super proud of how much you have all improved and achieved. ⚽️👏

A tough test for the Panthers last night against a strong opposition in our final pre-season game. The match was played at an incredibly fast pace, giving the team a fantastic opportunity to put their fitness to the test ahead of the new season. ⚡️

A huge shoutout to Charlie and Sonny from the U9s for helping us out once again. We’ve been so impressed with the energy, enthusiasm and commitment they’ve shown across every game they’ve played with us. We’re sure they’re both going to absolutely smash it this season! 🌟

Lucas was in unbelievable form once again, being called into action plenty of times throughout the match. He was constantly communicating with his teammates and showed great bravery in asking for the ball, always looking to help the team build from the back. 🧤

Heidi did a brilliant job putting into practice what we’ve been working on in training — constantly asking for the ball in midfield and creating a diagonal passing angle for her teammates. She also produced an incredible block in the first half to keep the opposition at bay. 🛡️

Out wide, Olly and Chloe worked tirelessly. Both were eager to get back and support their teammates defensively, while also looking to get forward, create attacking options and demand the ball into space. ⚡

In defence, Oliver and Eddie were kept extremely busy but never stopped working. Both showed fantastic determination, making some brilliant last-ditch tackles and clearances when the team needed them most. 💪

This was a real challenge for the Panthers, but it showcased so much of what we’ve been working on in training: being brave and getting in front of shots, creating passing angles, working hard for our teammates and being brave enough to ask for the ball.

Games like this are a brilliant opportunity to learn, develop and grow — both individually as players and collectively as a team. There were plenty of positives to take from the performance, and it’s safe to say we’re more than ready for the season to start on Sunday!

Benfield Summer Showcase ⚽️💪

With just a week to go before our first fixture of the new season, the Panthers were back in action at the Benfield Summer Showcase Tournament!

Going up against some strong teams, we encouraged the Panthers to dig deep, show energy and, most importantly, be confident!

Lyla and Chloe were relentless in leading the press, putting pressure on the opposition and helping win the ball back higher up the pitch.

Lucas earned plenty of compliments for his goalkeeping, making some excellent saves throughout the tournament. A brilliant double save in the semi-final had everyone applauding! 🧤👏

It was fantastic to see the hard work from our winter futsal sessions paying off, with Isaac and Olly combining brilliantly to score from an indirect free kick — something we had worked on during those sessions. ⚽️🎯

Oliver, Reed and Eddie showed huge commitment, throwing themselves into tackles and doing everything they could to stop shots coming in. Isaac was particularly impressed with Eddie’s “ninja tackles” 😂, perfectly summing up our determination to win the ball back!

Our wingers April, Chloe and Olly also put in some excellent recovery runs, tracking back to help defensively and supporting their teammates — another area we’ve been working hard on.

Isaac was at the heart of the team’s play throughout the day, constantly looking to connect passes through the middle and bring players into the game.

We were really impressed with how the team improved and found that inner determination as the day went on, particularly in the semi-final. The fight, effort and belief really started to show — and seeing everyone celebrate together when we scored made it even better!

Thank you to the organisers for a brilliant day of football! ⚽️

Well done everyone — lots to be proud of! Only one more friendly to go before the new season kicks off! 👏💪
