🐾⚽ PANTHERS | MATCH REPORT ⚽🐾

After a challenging start to the season, the Panthers really found their rhythm on Sunday! 🔥

Continuing to develop in their new formation, the Panthers found themselves a goal down early on. However, they showed great character, grew into the game and turned things around to go into half-time in front.

The second half saw the Panthers really put their stamp on the match. There was fantastic composure at the back, brilliant work rate throughout midfield and confident finishing up top. 👏

What was particularly pleasing was the way the team stuck to their playing style. Every goal had an assist, with some of our best chances and finishes coming after patient build-up play and some excellent passing combinations. ⚽️🅰️

A fantastic performance and a well-deserved result for the Panthers, who are starting to see the rewards of all their hard work, determination and commitment. 🐾

Opposition’s - Eddie 🧤
Showing great bravery coming off his line, Eddie made some excellent blocks and saves. It was also great to hear him taking charge on the pitch, organising his defence and giving instructions.

Coaches’ - Reed 👏
Reed is bringing the energy and determination into midfield that we’re looking for. He was everywhere closing down the opposition and driving with the ball to create chances, completing his performance with an assist.

🐆⚽ LEOPARDS | FIRST LEAGUE MATCH OF THE SEASON! ⚽🐆

The Leopards got their U10 league season underway this afternoon against some quality opposition, and it was a fantastic test of fitness, resilience and concentration!

There were plenty of positives to take from the game, with the team working incredibly hard to win possession and showing some great teamwork to create opportunities. The determination shown in those recovery runs on a big pitch was brilliant to see and will really help the Leopards build their fitness as the season progresses. 👏

A huge effort from the whole team, with plenty to be proud of and lots to build on. We go again next week! 🙌

⚽ Futsal Fridays ⚽

The futsal team got off to a flying start in the Winter League last night with a fantastic performance!

From the very first whistle, the team were really up for it. Olly and Thomas pressed high from defence, while Zack and Alex worked tirelessly to win the ball back and create chances for their teammates.

At the other end of the pitch, the whole team worked incredibly hard to prevent the opposition from building attacks. April made some excellent recovery runs and shoutout to Reed for an incredible block in the second half! Lucas made some fantastic saves early on to keep the team in control. Unfortunately, an injury forced Lucas out of the game, but Zack and Thomas stepped up in goal and did a brilliant job of maintaining the clean sheet. That’s exactly the kind of team spirit we’re looking for! Wishing Lucas a speedy recovery. 💪

We also took the opportunity to rotate positions, giving everyone the chance to experience different roles on the pitch. It was brilliant to see April, Reed and Olly pushing further forward, with Finley getting the chance to play in defence, making some key interceptions and starting attacks from the back!

There were some excellent goals throughout the game, but the pick of the bunch has to be the final goal! Thomas played the ball forward from goal into Alex, who brought it down on his chest before an unbelievable volley into the back of the net. What a way to finish! 💥

The team also got the opportunity to collect their runners-up medals from the Spring League, which shows just how far they’ve come and is a true testament to their hard work! Well done everyone! 🏅

Top saves and bravery as always! Lucas showed fantastic communication, keeping his teammates organised and showcased his distribution, helping to launch attacks and get the team moving forward!

What a performance from Zack! He played all over the pitch - attack, defence and even in goal - and stepped up brilliantly in every position. A fantastic all-round performance!

A HUGE well done to our U10 futsal team, who picked up their U9 Spring League runners-up medals tonight! 👏

They’ve improved so much throughout the season and have been an absolute delight to watch every single match. The way they play, compete and continue to develop together makes us so proud. 🙌

Mascot duties at our ladies’ FA Cup game today for some of our Panthers and Leopards! ⚽️🏆

A massive thank you to all the kids and families who came along to support — it was brilliant seeing so many of our club family there cheering the team on! 💙❤️

And I can’t believe I’m posting a photo of me with my eyes closed 😂 but I couldn’t not post our lovely U8 girls too, who had come along to cheer the team on! 🌟

🐾 Panthers vs North Shields Yellows ⚽️

The Panthers faced North Shields Yellows in their first league game today — a team with a lot of quality all over the pitch and one that proved a huge challenge for the Panthers.

But as we always say to the kids, these are the challenges that are so important. They push us outside our comfort zone, test our character and give us the opportunity to learn how to fight through tough situations. 💪

As coaches, we’ve been through it ourselves — having seasons where we were on the end of big scorelines every week, only to come back the following season and go on to beat those same teams. It’s a reminder that anything is possible with a positive attitude, togetherness and the determination to keep improving and battling through the tough games.

As I said after the game, it’s okay to feel disappointed, frustrated, angry… all the emotions! 😂 But it’s about doing something with that feeling. Don’t sulk on it — use it. Turn that frustration into some fire and take it into the next game you play. 🔥💪

We believe in every single one of these kids. We see the quality they have week after week in training, and if they stick with the targets we’ve set, believe in themselves and believe in their teammates, we know it will all come together. ❤️🐾

Absolutely soaked from the wild downpour afterwards and then rushing off to the ladies’ match for mascot duties, so no photo today! 😂🌧️

🏆 Player of the Match — Heidi ⭐️

We often ask the kids to step up and be that player who is really trying to put what we’ve been working on into practice — and Heidi did exactly that today.

She has really taken on board what we’ve been asking around receiving angles and quick 1/2-touch passing, and it was brilliant to see her putting it into practice in a tough game. 👏⚽️

Pre-season continued for the Leopards this morning as we faced a strong Newcastle City Juniors Girls team!

It was a fantastic test, with the Leopards finding themselves under pressure early on. Credit to our opposition, who played some brilliant passing football in key areas.

At half time, we spoke to the team about taking accountability and making an impact, no matter your position on the pitch. The Leopards really took this on board, and we saw a much-improved work rate in the second half. The players started winning individual battles, working harder for each other and creating chances as a team. Their hard work eventually paid off, with the Leopards getting themselves a goal late in the game. 💪

There were some fantastic saves from Eddie, who was brave as always and kept the team in the game when we were under pressure. In defence, Reed, Thomas and Zack were always looking to get on the ball and drive forward to help create attacks. They also worked incredibly hard defensively, putting in great recovery runs and making some important tackles. 💥

We also saw fantastic link-up play in the final third, with Isaac and Heidi both wanting to get on the ball in the middle of the pitch and doing a great job of spreading the play. Up top, Jack was relentless with his pressing, constantly putting pressure on the opposition defence, while also getting involved in some really nice link-up play with Oliver and Olly out wide.👏

Well done, Leopards! We’re already starting to see a massive improvement in the team’s willingness to get on the ball and battle for each other. Just one more friendly to go before the season starts! 🐆
