A week tomorrow!

This is more than a seminar… this is an opportunity to train with a true legend of martial arts!

Sensei Alfie Lewis is widely regarded as one of the greatest point fighters of all time, a 5-time WAKO World Champion whose influence on martial arts spans decades. He is a 10th dan black belt, Chief instructor of Mushin Kai (one of the most successful clubs in the world) and World President of the World Martial arts Organisation (WMO)!

His passion, knowledge, and commitment to developing others have inspired generations of martial artists across the UK and beyond and he has trained so many World and European champions in many martial arts disciplines.

He has not taught open seminars for many years and have chosen to share his knowledge with us within the ECKA due to his history and connection with Sensei Dev!

In addition, if booked in advance, he has offered to bring signed copies of his latest book with him!

📣WAKO Rules changes coming to effect from January 2027!

‼Changes to the rules of the K1 Style discipline‼

✅Clinching, holding and grabbing are no longer allowed, while there is no limit to the number of knee strikes in action.

🔺Article 4.3. Knee techniques
• Clinch or holding is not permitted at any time during the match.
• Supporting over the opponent to kick with knee techniques is not allowed.
• Clinching with one or two hands in order to execute a knee technique is prohibited.
• Clinching, holding or supporting will be penalized if used to stop the opponent’s actions or to momentarily interrupt the match.
• As clinching, holding or supporting is not allowed, knee techniques may be executed without limitation.

This will take place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2026 at the fantastic Lilleshall National Sports Centre, near Newport, Shropshire, TF10 9AT.

For those who have not been before, Lilleshall House is a stunning 19th-century stately home set within 200 acres of English Heritage Grade II listed grounds in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

The camp will be led by our world-renowned National GB Coaches and will include high-level training across the disciplines, alongside lectures and development sessions taking place throughout the weekend.

There may also be Senior Team fight-offs taking place, where required.

This camp is open to all athletes from across Great Britain. However, it is imperative that selected GB Team members attend, as this forms an important part of preparation for the upcoming international championships.

Weekend Camp Details

Date: Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2026
Venue: Lilleshall National Sports Centre, TF10 9AT
Doors Open: Saturday at 8:00am
Training Starts: 9:00am
Cost: £150.00 for the weekend
Booking Deadline: Thursday 16th July 2026

We are really looking forward to seeing everyone there for what promises to be a fantastic weekend of training, learning, and team preparation.
