First ballet class up "on pointe"! Our latest group of pointe dancers had their first experience on pointe in the studio this past Friday. Most were thrilled. Some feet were hurting, but for the most part, it was a really fabulous day.

Myth buster: pointework doesn't need to destroy toes.
It's all in the strength of the foot, ankle, and core to "lift out" of the shoes and not sink in them. The stronger the ballet dancer- the more success they will have on pointe.

We are thrilled to support our next round of Intermediate Foundation students in reaching a milestone in the life of a ballet dancer: going "up on pointe"! EXCITING was the word of the day yesterday as they were fitted for their first pair of pointe shoes. 😃 🩰💃😍

Our Summer Term is underway with so much going on! Registration remains open to new students, while some classes are getting ready for our Royal Academy of Dance exam session at the end of this term. We'll be starting rehearsals for our winter show of the Nutcracker soon as well!

We loved seeing so many flowers dancing in our ballet classes during our mufti/fancy dress final week of Spring term! Our theme this year was "Spring Blossoms". What theme shall we do for the end of Summer Term? We'd love to hear your suggestion!
