Rest is often neglected with training.  Yet it makes all the difference.

Building muscle aim for 45-120 second rest
Endurance and metabolic conditioning aim for 15-60 seconds

Strength and power aim for 2-5 minutes.

If you don't pay attention to the rest period, you could be losing the effect you were training for.

But they aren't the B all and end all for leg growth and balance.

Sometimes, it just hurts to have a heavy bar on your back.
