⚾️ DOUBLEHEADER SWEEP IN TRURO!
The Cornish Claycutters welcomed the Wellington Khaki Sox on Sunday and came away with another two wins after a pair of hard-fought contests.
Game 1: Claycutters 7–6 Khaki Sox
A dramatic comeback victory saw the Claycutters edge a thriller in the final frame. Danila Petrov went a perfect 4-for-4 with 2 RBIs and 5 stolen bases, while Ed Bird delivered the walk-off RBI single. James Shaw drove in 2 runs and threw a complete-game win with 4 strikeouts.
Game 2: Claycutters 18–10 Khaki Sox
The Claycutters' bats exploded in the second game. Marcuss Rigg starred, going 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 5 stolen bases, while Danila Petrov added 3 RBIs. Daniel Raos earned the complete-game victory with 5 strikeouts, and a superb 8-6-2 relay from Bethany Cowley, Sean De'Ath and Marcuss Rigg cut down a runner at the plate.
Another fantastic team performance as the Claycutters continue their strong season! 💪⚾

⚾ GAME DAY ⚾

The BBF Division 4 leaders Cornwall Claycutters return to Cutters Field this Sunday as they host the Wellington Khaki Sox in the return fixture of the 2026 season.

The Claycutters head into the double-header full of confidence, sitting top of Division 4 and boasting some of the league's most productive players. Sean De'Ath and James Shaw currently lead the entire division with 25 runs scored apiece, while Ed Bird sits close behind in third with 21 runs. Stephen Mills has also been a key contributor, adding 19 runs to help power the Claycutters' offence throughout the season.

The Claycutters will be looking to continue the form that has made them one of the most dangerous teams in the division. Supported by a strong defensive unit and a lineup that continues to produce from top to bottom, Cornwall will be aiming to extend their lead at the top of the standings.

The Wellington Khaki Sox will be eager to spoil the party, but the Claycutters know that every game matters as the race for the Division 4 title heats up.

Sitting proudly at the top of BBF SWWBL Division 4, the Claycutters will be aiming to keep their winning run alive and defend home turf against a determined Khaki Sox side.

Big double win for the Cutters

The Cornish Claycutters remain firmly at the top of the D4 division with a couple of big wins versus Wellington Khaki Sox.

Shout to Steve Mills for his 3 HR day including a walk off to end the second game! Legendary stuff!

Pioneers game Vs Torrington was unfortunately postponed. More on that to come.

Couple of week's break for the club now with bank holiday weekend seeing the Battle for Britain tournament taking place at and then a rain catch up day for the SWWBL league.

Training resumes on Thursday. Get in touch if you're interested in playing baseball. First two sessions are free and all equipment and coaching provided.

No game today - Claycutters win by forfeit

Unfortunately, Weston Jets couldn't raise a team for this weekend's fixture so the Cornish Claycutters win both games of the double header by forfeit.

We will be having an intra-club game this morning at 10.30am to 12.30pm as a last-minute opportunity for valuable practice time.

Next week, both teams will be in action and on the road with the Claycutters heading to Wellington to face the Khaki Sox and the Pioneers heading to Torrington to play the Riptides.

Training continues on Thursday evening. DM us if you want to get involved with your local Cornish Baseball club.

Hello, baseball fans! After a bank holiday off from league action, the gang gets back to it this Thursday with the focus on games coming up this weekend.

TBH, the club are so committed to getting the work in that they've already trained Monday AND Tuesday this week. Not only are our players keen, but our coaches are driven to train better baseballers, and we have the means to facilitate as much baseball as players can handle. Sound interesting to you? Drop us a DM and get involved.

The Claycutters are in action at Cutters Field this weekend Vs Weston Jets. For the Pioneers, the oddity of the season schedule sees them on a bye week AGAIN. More Pioneers action on 17th May with a trip to Torrington.

Results from GW 3 - Cutters get the dub

The Claycutters pulled off a two-win Sunday against Newton Brewers yesterday, cranking up their game as they get into the season with catcher Steve Mills hitting a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 1st to set the tone for the day.

The Cutters next fixture is 10th May Vs Weston Jets at Cutters Field. The Pioneers will be back in action on 17th May away to Torrington Riptides.
