🦁 TRAINERS OF THE WEEK 🦁

Ralph - Ralph was great in the 1v1 drills today making some great saves, he has also worked really hard for the team over recent weeks only conceding 1 goal in our recent finedon tournament on our road to the final and coming out of goals in our recent Corby town tournament and scoring a goal. He even managed to score a goal today from his own goal kick in our game at the end 😮

Brendan - Brendan is a very determined boy and after recently winning players player it shows how much the team think of him and the hard work he puts in! Brendan was relentless in his effort today and scored two absolute worldies today! Promising the coach another two next week! We look forward to seeing them 😆

How lucky are our boys to be part of a club that has the best volunteers, who really care about the boys. Its not just about taking the training sessions or the games. The background work is what keeps the teams going.

🦁 TRAINERS OF THE WEEK 🦁

DAN - was a superstar today, on team Brazil he really understood the first game doing some great desicion making and showing awareness using his brain and tidy footwork! He was a threat in the 1v1 drills and really put in some hard work and managed a goal for Brazil!

THEO - really stood out today he was determined from the outset to ensure Brazil got the win! He chased downed every ball, was really confident in shouting for the ball and finding space and was a little terrier constantly pressuring morocco throughout all the games. His hard work was rewarded in the final game getting a goal! We just need that goal in a real game now

Our under 7s have fantastic coaches, who are driving the excitement and allowing the boys to live through their own world cup.

Hope the boys enjoyed the World Cup theme session today we had Brazil 🇧🇷 vs Morocco 🇲🇦

We started of with our naughts and crosses game to get the boys warmed up and start the competition. This was to focus on dribbling and making the correct decision under pressure whilst still having fun

Brazil 🇧🇷 got the first win of the day

We then moved into some 1 v1 , 2 v 1 and 2 v 2 drills. This was to try work on the boys speed getting to the ball first, and try and strengthen their skills individually tackling, shielding the ball and trying to score at the end

Another victory for the Brazil 🇧🇷 team

At the end we moved into a big game to finish off where the boys had to make sure everyone touches the ball before they could shoot, this was to try an encourage passing, working as a team and choosing who’s the best pass or most important pass to make which hopefully they can take into real life games

Morocco 🇲🇦 took the win in this game

If anyone fancies a bet today our training session has predicted a 2-1 win for Brazil 🇧🇷 today in the World Cup

u9's blacks have had a great season. Yesterday saw the team celebrating at presentation, but straight back onto the pitch today to get to the finals of the Corby Town tournament. Sadly they got knocked out to a very good team. Well done to all the boys. 🏆

First two tournaments for our u7’s and back to back finals. This week for the Corby town tournament they managed to go the whole way and get it over the line winning the plate! Were super proud of all the boys and what a way to top off a fantastic presentation day yesterday! More medals and trophies to add to their growing collection 🏆
