✍️CORBY 6-A-SIDE SUNDAY LEAGUE MATCH REPORT

It was a great night of action at Corby Leisure Leagues on Sunday. We were delighted to welcome so many new teams to the league for the kick off of the new season!

⚽️In the Premier League, The Catalina Wine Mixers nabbed an early victory by defeating Adam Levine 2-1. The star of the match was undoubtedly Luca Gillespie, who made a strong opening statement by scoring two goals for The Catalina Wine Mixers. Gillespie’s impressive showing made him the top scorer in the division, setting an exciting pace for the rest of the season. The other Premier League match saw Lakeside FC and Dossers United battle to a 1-1 draw, while Net Six And Chill outplayed P**a And Pals with a 3-1 win.

⚽️Over in Division 1, Welland Wanderers kicked off their campaign with a 3-1 win against Boohoo Mothers. The other match saw Venom Goon Squad outperform Toastie FC with a dominant 5-2 victory, cementing their place as early contenders for the title.

⚽️Division 2 saw Weldon Park FC triumph over Cheese FC in a thrilling 5-2 encounter. However, it was Konnor Heath of Inter Yernan who stole the show by scoring two goals in his team’s 3-2 win over We’re Not Fit FC. Heath’s stellar performance cemented his position as the top scorer of Division 2.

🏆NEW SEASON- The fixtures for the new season will be released within the next 48 hours!

🥇In the Premier League division, The Catalina Wine Mixers emerged as champions, finishing their season on a high note. Despite a tough match against P**a and Pals, which saw them lose 16-2, their total of 14 points and 7 wins over the season was enough to secure their victory. Meanwhile, P**a and Pals’ Jay shone brightly, netting an impressive tally of 9 goals for the week. His consistent form undoubtedly contributed significantly to the team’s offensive prowess, helping fuel their dominant performance.

🥇Elsewhere, in Division 1, Dossers United finished the season as the triumphant side, garnering a total of 15 points and 7 wins. Their decisive 3-0 win over Boohoo Mothers underlined their superior form over the season. Eccy Mad Squad got the better of Selsey’s Warriors in a 3-1 victory. A huge congratulations all goes to Adam Levine who secured Premier League football for the new season!

The week’s proceedings also saw Lakeside FC edge out Net Six And Chill with a narrow 3-2 victory in the Premier League. In Division 1, there was a stalemate between Adam Levine and Welland Wanderers, as neither team was able to find the back of the net.

As the dust settles on the final week of this captivating season, the champions can bask in their well-earned glory. Both The Catalina Wine Mixers and Dossers United deserve commendation for their gallant efforts throughout the season.

The Corby Sunday Football League lived up to its reputation for high-thrills and spills with an electrifying Week 9. The matches saw some unexpected and hard-fought results, adding to the mounting suspense in the Premier League and Division 1 standings.

⚽️In the Premier League division, Lakeside FC demonstrated their tenacity, defeating P**a And Pals 4-1. The match was a display of team spirit and strategy from Lakeside FC, as they dominated the field, displaying remarkable teamwork.

Meanwhile, Steel Park Tossers added to their winning streak with a 3-1 victory over Net Six And Chill. Leading the charge was top scorer James Rielly, who netted two goals, cementing his team’s position in the league.

In an exciting night of 6-a-side football, week 8 of the Corby Sunday League saw some close contests and stunning victories in both the Premier League and Division 1 on Sunday.

⚽️In the Premier League, the competition was fierce with the teams battling for supremacy. The Catalina Wine Mixers showed great resilience but fell short as they succumbed to Lakeside FC with a score of 3-4. Net Six And Chill, meanwhile, dominated their game against Toastie FC with a 7-1 victory, displaying an impressive attack strategy. The final fixture in this division saw Steel Park Tossers securing a 2-0 win against P**a Pals, keeping their clean sheet intact.

⚽️Moving onto Division 1, the highlight was undoubtedly the high-scoring battle between Welland Wanderers and Dossers United that saw Dossers United emerge as winners with a whopping 8-3 scoreline. EMS - Eccy Mad Squad put up a valiant fight but were narrowly defeated by Adam Levine 2-1.
