Entry on the day, so just rock up with some cash and your fell or trail shoes. Bring a waterproof - it might be wet and it can get cold up on the Roaches even in June!

And done.

The sun shone, the mud at Pool Dam wasn't too sticky, the traffic at Timbersbrook was reasonably patient, Bridestones was a delight and the views from the Cloud Summit (if you had time to pause and look) were a treat. Even the Gritstone trail ('technical' to some 'rocky' to the rest of us) behaved itself although canal bridge 71 did catch a few folk out.

Thanks on behalf of the race committee to all those involved in delivering the race and of course to the runners. My personal thanks to Nigel Poole, Race Director for making me the awards presenter for the event. A fitting way to hand over the baton after being closely involved in the race for many years.

And to cap it all we had a brief rainbow over the Race HQ (Congleton Leisure Centre) as we finished wrapping up.

A waiting list has been opened for anyone looking for a late space.

The course is now drying out nicely (albeit the absence of mud cannot be guaranteed!) so conditions are looking promising for Sunday.

The countdown to the Cloud 9 on March 1st is underway. Second recce held at the weekend confirms that the route is clear, albeit a bit muddy in places. Local residents have been notified and Buxton MRT have confirmed that they will be in attendance. You'll get chance to say hello to them at the stile approximately half way round.

The final few places are available and then we'll have to close the books.

The first of two race route recces was held yesterday. Golly it was cold as Nige (Race Director) and Mike (one of our wonderful marshals) will confirm!
