One of the things I love most about running is that wherever I am in the world, all I need is a pair of runners.

I can get out, explore somewhere new, get my fix and feel bloody brilliant for the rest of the day.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could do the same with Bro-ga?

Well, now you can.

Every Sunday we run a live Bro-ga at Home class online, so whether you’re away for the weekend, on holiday, travelling with work or just can’t make your usual class, you can still roll out your mat and join us.

And if you can’t make the live class, there’s a growing collection of free Bro-ga at Home sessions on our YouTube channel, -gamensyoga, ready to do whenever and wherever suits you.

All you need is a mat and a bit of floor space.

Bro-ga at Home. For stiff men, wherever you happen to be. 🍺🧘‍♂️

Tight hips? Stiff back? Feeling a bit creaky down the sides?

Meet Gate Pose — a simple stretch that gets into a few of those areas that tend to tighten up as the years roll on.

If you spend plenty of time sitting at a desk, driving, cycling or generally not bending sideways very often, you can start to feel stiff through your:

👉 Lower and mid back👉 Hips and inner thighs👉 Hamstrings👉 Sides of the waist and ribs👉 Shoulders and upper body

Gate Pose gently opens up the whole side of the body while stretching the hips and legs and encouraging your spine to move in a direction it probably doesn't get much of during a normal day.

It can be particularly nice if your back feels tight and compressed after sitting for hours, or you get up from the sofa and need a few steps before everything starts working properly! 😬

You don't need to get anywhere near Dave's position either.

Go as far as feels comfortable, breathe, hold for 20–30 seconds and repeat on the other side.

A little movement goes a long way.

Move Better. Feel Better. 🍺

🎙️Back on the radio with the wonderful on

Last time I was on, almost 3 years ago (!!!! eek where has that time gone 🫣), Bro-ga was in it’s infancy and I had just moved my PT gym to

I was back in the studio to fill Nell in with all that’s been happening since!

(Spoiler alert, it's going really well!)

We discussed how Bro-ga’s boomed and how we’re changing things in the background to make it easier to expand even further.

How I have a happy work life balance and a full PT diary 5 mornings a week.

I was also asked if I had to give a 30 min Ted talk on a subject outside of work what would it be on [you won’t guess what I said]

My fav meal

3 of my all time fav songs

And how to stay consistent with training and exercise when every day seems to throw a spanner in the works!

Yoga and b**r.

It might not sound like an obvious pairing, but hear us out.

At Bro-ga, we believe wellbeing is about balance. It’s about moving your body, looking after your mind and enjoying good company along the way.

That’s why some of our favourite conversations happen after class, when the mats are rolled away and everyone heads for a well-earned drink.

The yoga helps improve mobility, flexibility and strength.

The b**r? That’s optional. The camaraderie isn’t.

This International B**r Day, here’s to movement, friendship and finding a healthy balance that works for you.

Fancy joining us? Come for the yoga. Stay for the chat.

Why should wellness retreats only be for women… or people who can already touch their toes?

That’s the question that started the Bro-ga Reset Weekend.

Most retreats seem to be aimed at people who already love yoga, eat quinoa for breakfast and can fold themselves in half.

But what about the rest of us?

The bloke with tight hips.

The bad back.

The dodgy shoulders.

The guy who’s never set foot in a yoga studio because he thinks he won’t fit in.

So we created a retreat for him.

No chanting.

No pressure.

No pretending to be someone you’re not.

Just a weekend with a great bunch of blokes, some yoga, a Surrey Hills walk with a pub stop, a strength workshop, good food, a sound bath, a few b**rs and plenty of laughs.

The bit that surprised me?

I genuinely didn’t know if anyone would book.

Well… 9 of the 10 places have already gone.

There’s now just one place left.

To give someone who’s been sitting on the fence a nudge, I’ve knocked £50 off the final place this week.

If you’ve been thinking about it, now’s your chance.

Drop me a message or click the link in the comments before it’s gone.
