👨🏻 MOVEMBER IS FAST APPROACHING 👨🏽
This November, the Footy Bros will be joining in Movember — not to fundraise, but to raise awareness. You’ll likely see us rocking some delightfully dodgy tash’s (yes, we’ll embrace the questionable growth!) in solidarity and visibility for men’s mental health.
⸻
🧠 Why we’re doing this:
• In the UK, men account for around three-quarters of all su***des.
• In 2023, the su***de rate for men in England & Wales was 17.4 deaths per 100,000, — that’s more than 3 times higher for men than women.

• Su***de among men is a leading cause of death, especially for those under 50.
• About 29.9% of men in 2022–23 reported “high levels of anxiety,” and nearly 1 in 10 men live with depression or anxiety to some degree.
These are not just numbers — these are lives, families, and communities affected.
⸻
🎯 What to Expect
• We’ll be rocking our dodgy mo’s throughout November — yes, some will look like they’ve been attacked by a razor just for giggles.
• These mustaches are a signal: to start conversations, to normalise check-ins, to make it easier for someone to say, “Hey, I’m not okay.”
⸻
🤝 If you’re struggling — you’re not alone
If ever you feel overwhelmed, hopeless, or unsure where to turn:
• Reach out to a family member
• Talk to a friend
• Contact a charity-based support service (e.g. Samaritans, Mind, CALM, etc.)
• Speak with a mental health professional or local mental health service
Sometimes the bravest thing is just saying you’re not fine.

Let’s use this Movember to spark awareness, break stigma, and encourage more openness. Watch out for those whiskers. Let’s talk more. 💬
