The Midlands Irish Walking Football team had a great weekend at The Limerick Walking Football Festival. Firstly, the tournament was superbly organised, great venue and really good football.

Just one week away now from Limerick Festival of Walking Football 2026!
Almost 350 players have registered for the event next weekend (4th & 5th July).

Our over 65s entered a team into the charity walking football tournament on 20th June.

They played 4 games, won 1 , drew 1 and lost 2.

The Midlands Irish players have been in Dublin today playing teams from Hartstown Huntstown FC and Shelbourne.

Congratulations to our 60s team who won the BHF Charity walking football tournament in Calverton at the weekend.

The lads played 6 games, winning 5 and drawing 1 - Congratulations to everyone involved

Congratulations to Republic Of Ireland Walking Football Association on fantastic results in the Maureen Evans memorial trophy in Wales.

The Midlands Irish over 50s took part in the Caribbean Nations Cup on Sunday 20th July.
Our lads performed heroically against some fantastic National Squads including victories against England and Carribean teams, overall they won 4 games and drew 1 in the league stages to top the table. Then followed a semi-final and Final, Sadly after a 1-1 draw in the Final, England won the penalty shoot out to take the trophy.
Congratulations to everyone who took part, it was a fantastic day. Thanks to Carribean Walking Football Community for hosting and organising the event and thanks to The Jason Roberts foundation
