Whether you have zero martial arts experience or lots, our brand new club in Elmstead Market is perfect for you to come and learn something new, get fit whilst training and meet like minded people!
Traditional Japanese is an art that has been taught as defence for centuries, it is used by the Police, Armed Forces and is the art that Judo and Aikido both originated from.
Practicality, is at the heart of the defence techniqes that we teach. You will also get to embrace some of the more beautiful and flowing elements of martial arts, you will learn a lot about balance and how to use people's movement against them in a defence environment.
All sessions in September will be free for all new students, this means you can come along and see if you think this is right for you!

**** BRAND NEW MARTIAL ARTS CLUB OPENING IN ELSMTEAD MARKET***
***EARLY SIGN UP BONUS - FIRST MONTH FREE***
We are proud to announce that as of September 1st 2026 we will be opening our doors for the Elmstead Market branch of AS JuJitsu!!
It does not matter if you have martial arts experience or none at all, this is about a warm and welcoming club in the heart of the community. A place to learn, keep fit and of course have a ton of fun d**g so.
A.S JuJitsu has been an established club in under the expert tutelage of Kyoshi Aaron Stevens (7th Dan) for many years. Now we are able to offer a new satellite club allowing access for people close to Elmstead Market and surrounding Colchester areas.
This will be an adults only class to begin with (there are plans to open this to kids in the future)
YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Carl Gordon - Carl has been training in Ju Jitsu since 1993 and has achieved black belt status in 2 separate styles of Traditional Ju Jitsu.
Having been a student under Aaron Stevens at AS JuJitsu for many years now, Carl brings Aaron's already respected and established style to this new club.
He has also trained in Escrima (Philipino Stick Fighting) TaeKwonDo and Judo and brings years of experience in teaching this amazing art to Elmstead Market.
Watch out for more information about our team of instructors, JuJitsu information, video and techniques in the run up to opening.
Classes will run every Tuesday night from September 1st
