Well done to all our girls in attending the 2025 season Presentation Night. Hope all the Players and Parents had a lovely night as coaches did. Away for an East Lothian derby against Tranent this morning for our u14s🩷

A tough game for our girls but the effort from every single one of them was incredible. Not once did they give up, they kept fighting and were finally rewarded with a goal at the end. Unfortunately the result did not go our way but the score did not reflect the girls efforts. We look ahead now to our home game next weekend🤞🏻

We also welcomed Carly back today after months out due to injury🙌🏻

⭐️ POTM: Kenzie for her tireless running up and down the left side and not stopping and winning back numerous balls. Molly for a solid performance in goals making some really big saves.💪🏻

🩷Cockenzie Star U14s🩷

Our u14s were away this morning against Bathgate Thistle. The effort from the girls in the first half was phenomenal, doing everything asked of them and more to keep the score as low as possible. The second half the girls started to tire, which is to be expected with only 2 subs. The girls that we have that show up week in week out despite knowing they won’t get much of a rest are a real credit to the club and we thank them for their commitment🙌🏻

⭐️POTM: Goes to the whole team for showing up, performing the best they could and seeing the game through despite being tired💪🏻

Another special thanks to our parents that ensure their girls get to the games each week and offering lifts where they can, we couldn’t do it without you all🚘

🩷Cockenzie Star Girls u14s🩷

A very even game both sides played really well. It was 70 minutes played with still no goal looking like it was gonna end a draw😬 and with 30s left from a Libby free kick straight to goalies hands, the ball spills out and Lexie out of nowhere comes and finishes it off! Finally a win for Cockenzie Star!! Another celebration from the parents and coaches and certainly feels like we won the World Cup🏆

⭐️POTM - Another joint POTM this week. Libby for incredible work rate in defence clearing numerous balls and putting in some great challenges. Libby took her role as captain very seriously and controlled the defence the whole game! Next up Ellie for her incredible performance in midfield, a position she is unfamiliar with not that you’d be able to tell! She put up a great fight using her strength to keep winning the ball back.

A massive thank you to Orla for stepping in goals for the second half of the game at the last minute!🙌🏻

🩷Cockenzie Star U14s🩷

What a lovely night for our game tonight☀️. Great to finally have a full team and subs show up😅. The girls put in some great effort with many of the girls running their socks off! An improved performance in the second half and even better to have their efforts rewarded with a goal! From the cheering from the parents you’d think they’d have won the World Cup!🤣
