Yin Yoga with a Restorative Twist 💜

Join me this November & December at the Sports + Fitness HUB for a 90-minute evening class designed to help you slow down, soften and switch off.

Yin Yoga is a slower, more meditative practice where poses are held for longer, gently stressing the deeper connective tissues of the body. It can help to improve mobility and flexibility, support joint health, release areas of tension and encourage a greater sense of calm.

For these special sessions, I’ll be bringing a restorative twist to traditional Yin.

We will still explore the longer holds and deeper sensations that give Yin its benefits, but with plenty of props, support and softer moments woven throughout.

Expect slow movement, stillness, breathwork and deep relaxation, with time at the end to simply rest and allow your nervous system to settle.

Think the benefits of Yin, with the cosy, nurturing feel of Restorative Yoga.

A little space to step away from the busyness, slow everything down and take some time for yourself, particularly welcome as we head towards Christmas.

90 minutes | £15
30 minutes buffer at the end to enjoy a cup of tea before heading home 🙂

No previous yoga experience needed. Come as you are, get comfortable and give yourself permission to slow down. 🤍

🍂 A Little Autumn Pause 🍂

A new mini retreat date 😊

As summer begins to soften into autumn, this is a little invitation to slow down with it.
Four hours to step away from the usual noise and give yourself some proper breathing space.
We’ll move through longer, unhurried yoga, breathwork, yin yoga and yoga nidra, with time for cold water and the warmth of the sauna too.

The session will be shaped around the autumn equinox and that natural shift into a new season — a chance to slow things down, reset and maybe let go of a little of what you don’t need to carry with you.
Nothing to achieve.
Nowhere else you need to be.
Just a few hours for you. 🤎

❄️🔥 EXTRA ICE & FIRE DATE 🔥❄️

You asked… so I’ve managed to squeeze in another one!

With the rest of the Ice & Fire sessions now fully booked, I’ve added an extra Friday evening session for anyone who missed out. 🤍

Come and finish the week with a little breathing space.

A chance to switch off, slow things down and enjoy an evening of movement, warmth, cold, breath and connection.

There’s something rather lovely about doing it on a Friday evening too… closing the door on the week and heading into the weekend feeling a little lighter.

So… who fancies spending their Friday night a little differently? ❄️🔥

As long as you keep loving these sessions, I’ll keep loving holding the space for them. 🤍

A Little Read

Sunday No. 2

The Committee in my head has been busy again this week... this time talking about guilt.

Not the kind of guilt where you’ve actually done something wrong.

The kind that appears the moment you decide to do something for yourself.
Have you ever noticed that?
You book a yoga class and immediately think, I probably should be at home getting things done.
You meet a friend for coffee and find yourself checking the time every five minutes.
You go for a walk on your own and wonder if you should have taken the children.
You sit outside with a cup of tea... and before you’ve even finished it, you’re mentally writing a list of everything you should be doing instead.

Why do we do that?
Somewhere along the way, many of us seem to have decided that taking time for ourselves is a reward. Something we get once the jobs are done.
But here’s the problem...
When are the jobs ever done?
The washing basket fills up again.
The emails keep coming.
Someone always needs a lift somewhere.
The shopping list grows.
Life carries on.

If we wait until everything is finished before we stop, I think we’ll be waiting a very long time.
I’ve been wondering this week... what if those little moments aren’t taking us away from the people we love?
What if they’re actually helping us be the person we want to be?
A little more patient.
A little kinder.
A little less snappy when someone asks us for the hundredth snack of the day!
Maybe your breathing space is a yoga class.
Maybe it’s a cold water dip.
Maybe it’s a walk.
Or maybe today it’s simply drinking your tea while it’s still hot.
Whatever it looks like, I don’t think we should feel guilty for it.
Because we spend so much of our lives looking after everyone else.
Surely taking a few moments to look after ourselves shouldn’t come with an apology.
As always... here’s hoping I remember to take my own advice this week 🫶🏼

A Little Read – Sunday No. 1

The committee in my head has been particularly busy this week.

Every option has been discussed. Every possible outcome has been considered.
Every “what if” has been given far more airtime than it probably deserved.

It turns out making decisions is exhausting when you’re trying to do what’s right for yourself, your husband, your children... and somehow keep everyone happy all at the same time.

It got me thinking...

Sometimes, the hardest part isn’t the challenge itself.
It’s the decision.
How do you know what’s the right choice?
How do you know you’re doing the best thing for everyone?
And what if you get it wrong?

Those questions can leave us stuck, going round and round in circles, searching for certainty that may never come.

But what if there isn’t always one perfect choice?
What if there are simply choices that help us grow in different ways?

I’ve realised that waiting until I’m completely certain often means I don’t move at all. Sometimes we have to make the best decision we can with the information we have, trusting ourselves to handle whatever comes next.

Because if a decision doesn’t turn out as we’d hoped, it doesn’t mean we’ve failed. It simply means we’ve learnt something we couldn’t have known before.

So, if you’re carrying the weight of a difficult decision this week, know that you’re not alone.

Be kind to yourself.

Trust that you’re doing your best with what you know today. Trust that your heart is trying to do what’s right. And trust that no single decision defines your whole story.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is choose a path... and keep walking.

Wishing you a peaceful Sunday and a gentle start to the week ahead.

As always... here’s hoping I remember to take my own advice this week 💁🏽‍♀️
