To our FC Kirkwood family,
It is with deep sadness to announce that we’ve decided to fold the club. The 2025/26 season has proven to be a difficult one for us and over the past couple of months we have tried to recruit new players, as dwindling numbers have put some real pressure on our ability to field a strong team. Over the past few days, with more efforts tried, the end result is more players have left with none joining, so have agreed with the coaches that it's time to fold the club.
FCK have had a fantastic 15+ years in football and we’re proud to have finished strong in our second season in amateur football last season, finishing 3rd in the league and winning the league cup.
We would like to take the opportunity to give a special thanks to some important people, who without them, the club wouldn’t have had all the success it has:
Firstly, everyone associated with the club would like to give a huge thanks and show our appreciation to our long standing head coach Joe Tumilty, our second in command Brian Robertson and coaches Andrew Skelton & Duncan Paton. They have built and coached the FCK team from “Fun 4’s” through to primary school, right up to adulthood. There is no doubt that we wouldn’t have been as successful as we are, without their continued support and commitment to the club and its players throughout the years.
A massive thank you to all the parents and supporters who have organised, attended and very generously donated to our memorable race nights. You have all supported FCK throughout the years by giving up your own time and hard earned money and without a doubt, you have all been vital to our clubs success. We truly appreciate your commitment and everything you have done to support FCK.

Finally, the coaches would like to thank every player that has ever worn an FCK jersey. Your contributions are ingrained in the club and have led us to the continued success we’ve had over the years. Your dedication during training and matches has been unmatched and we as coaches, appreciate all the hard work you have given to make FCK what it was.
