Rooks vs dosthil colts u9s

On Saturday the boys travelled over to dosthill for our 2nd u9s game. After drawing last week the boys were looking to bounce back and they did in some style 😎

From the off the every single player was full of energy and did not give the opposition a second on the call. Relentless pressure which meant we had a lot of the ball in dangerous positions 💥

A great strike from Flynn opened the scoring which set the tone for the whole game. Chance after chance came and the boys were a couple of goals up at half time with another great strike from Edward. ⚽

Every single player had great moments throughout the game and but they came up against a resilient keeper made 10+ great saves to keep them in the game

Overall it was a great moment for the boys as they picked up their first win playing a year up. Super proud day for them all.

MATCH DAY

ROOKS VS COTTAGE FARM U9S

Today the boys traveled over to cottage farm for their first game at under 9s. With some new additions in Dylan, Milan and the returning Kade

The boys started the game strong on a big pitch and played some great flowing football. Some great transitions from front back, the boys got in some great positions in the box but the ball just wouldn't fall into their path

The boys continued to go toe to toe with a well set up and team and overall they were all outstanding and we couldn't have asked for more.

Great learning game for the boys and they will only continue to get stronger.

Yesterday we traveled a short journey over to Ashby to continue our league fixtures

After a slow start the boys put on a real show and produced some great goals and team play. The pitch was difficult but it didn't stop the boys from putting on another commanding performance

The boys are getting stronger every week and producing some amazing football. Some great goals, skills, passing and teamwork which was a joy to watch.

COALVILLE ROOKS VS DEER PARK GAZELLES

Today the boys hosted deer park gazelles. Looking to follow on from their unbelievable performance last week. They carried on where they left off with some great team passing and clinical finishing. 🥅 ⚽

They came up against a physical team but the boys responded with the same physicality. Pressured every touch the opposition had and created lots of chances. 🤩

We had a debut for our new goalkeeper - Ernie
He put on a great display coming off his line well and collecting the ball when needed. Some great distribution too 🧤

First home game of the season for the boys ⚪⚫⚽

The boys were looking to carry on their good form from last week and they didn't disappoint!

From the first whistle to the last they put on a dominant performance with some great passing moves and great team goals.

Coalville rooks vs Polesworth swifts ⚽⚪⚫

Today the boys started the new season with a trip to a newly formed polesworth team.

The boys were at it from the get go and were frustrated for the first 10 minutes by some great saves and strong defending from the opposition 💪

Thomas pulled off an amazing save which then we went up the other end and made it 1-0 with a neat rebound finish from Isaac. ⚽

The boys relaxed into the game and created chance after chance and we went in at half time 2-0 up. The defending from all the boys was immense 👊

Into the second half Edward stepped up from the half way line with a free kick and found the back of the net which will be a goal of the season contender.

Super proud of the boys and they ran out comfortable winners and could have had plenty more goals but the opposition keeper made some great saves throughout the game.

Big memtion to Thomas, Charlie and Edward for stepping up to go in goal 🧤 🥅 🧤
