Enormous congratulations to the u8 Ravens this year for their continuous hard work, both days on a weekend. It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we are now folding as a team but we wish all the lads every success in the future whatever they decide to go on and do. There’s been many ups and downs but we’ve always came through it together. We are going to miss you boys ❤️. 1, 2, 3, COALVILLE!! 🖤🤍

🚨⚽️ FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON SATURDAY ⚽️🚨

Keyworth Blacks vs CTFC Ravens

A beautiful day for our final game of the season as the Ravens assembled in Nottinghamshire. We were confident after recent results but again it was to be a game of two halves.
The Ravens took an lead early with a beautiful stuck free kick from Vinny from an acute angle 👌🏼. Minutes later we bombed on with another great goal from Fred’s assisted by Zach. In between Jenson was making some quality saves and Otis continued to make some great tackles at the back. Unfortunately we went behind in the second half and couldn’t quite bring it back which has been the our story in a few of our games. A tired team after an enormous season with only 5 players for a lot of it which has to be commended 👏🏻. We are very proud of the hard work these lads have put in this season playing both days every weekend. Massive shout out to our player of the match Vinny, who gave it everything, showing lots of physicality and struck that free kick with absolute precision 🤩🏆.

Sunday report vs East Leake Bantams.

One of a few meetings with this side. Equally matched and always makes for a thriller. Today being no exception.

The Ravens got off to a flying start dominating the first quarter but East leake are not to be written off. Fighting back strong and fearlessly !!

Zach captained the boys today and led by example. Sprinting up and down the pitch. Fighting for every ball. His determination rewarded with a couple of great goals.

Vindog swapped and changed today and worked hard to cover when needed. Fancy footwork and pure grit got him through a few times. Slotted one in to get himself on the scoresheet !!

Otis was a true brick wall today. His strength and fearlessness each week impress and never go un-noticed ! He shon today working hard, knocking the ball around ! Got his head down and went for it taking players on to. Amazing versatility today !!!

Jenson worked hard today with distribution. Taking onboard information and providing some quite magnificent pin point long range balls. Finding players feet with hitman accuracy !! His efforts rewarded with a long range assist.

MOTM today went to Fred’s. Like most of the time. He worked the wing taking players on, fighting for the ball and always looking to press. Earned himself a well struck left foot goal !! But what Fred’s did today, listening to information. Implementing change and sticking to the plan is where he really impressed. The strength he showed both mentally and physically today had to be rewarded !!

Unbelievably proud of the grit, fire and determination from the Ravens today !!! A solid run of matches that isn’t showing signs of stopping !! ⚽️🖤🤍

⚽️ MATCH REPORT SATURDAY ⚽️

Castle Donington Raptors vs CTFC

After a phenomenal result last Sunday the Ravens looked to carry on the good form and put on another great show today. We assembled over at Castle Donington on a sun soaked perfectly green playing surface and this was to be a stunning affair for the neutral 🤩. A tight contest between two attack minded sides that had goals galore, some stunning tackles and every player putting their body on the line!
Our starboy between the sticks Jenson captained the side today after his MOTM performance last Saturday. He made countless unbelievable saves, coming out 1v1, tipping onto the bar and around the post he showed real quality ⭐️.
Where was Otis? Everywhere! Otis made loads of fantastic tackles and key blocks. Also we were so pleased to see him having composure on the ball and picking out some amazing forward passes into the danger areas 🙌🏻.
Zach was amongst the goal involvements with a brilliantly followed in goal and a smart assist, his blistering pace was on show all game also making some wicked recovery runs to get back and help our defensive side 💪🏻.
A great performance again by Vindog who worked hard in midfield. His footwork was beautiful as he jumped and jived around their defenders for his assist and he too bagged a really well taken goal that nestled in the bottom corner 🫡.
Our MOTM today went to Fred’s, he worked tirelessly all game showing physicality and strength. He also bagged a stunning 4 goals showing that directness we’ve been asking of him! The pick of the bunch was the winning goal, a perfectly taken free kick that cleared the wall and dipped just under the crossbar into the net!! A real corker 🔥🏆.
This game really had it all! Fantastic goalkeeping, super defending and relentless attacking from both sides which made it such an exciting watch and left us feeling very proud!

⚽️ CTFC VS HEANOR LIONS ⚽️ (Sat)

A game of two halves for the Ravens in this one, some fantastic football on display, from both sides. The Ravens started on the front foot with some great attacking phases shown from the outset. Zach and Fred’s started on either side of the midfield and worked really hard to get into the final third but tracked back well too!
Otis and Bodhi both showed their defensive strength making many top blocks and tackles.
Vindog wowed us with a sweet corner that found its way into the back of the onion bag 🙌🏻. The boys scrapped and worked to try and get the important next goal but despite their best efforts couldn’t get it. Unfortunately we found ourselves asleep for the middle part of the game leading to goals scored by Heanor just taking us out the game but we were really proud of the hard work and positive signs the boys showed which by the sounds of things really kicked them on for Sundays game 🤩.
MOTM went to Jenson for some unbelievable saves and for the encouragement and instructions he gave to the rest of the team 🏆.

Sunday Vs Attenborough Colts.

The Ravens started strong before the match even began. Warming up fast and following drills to a tee !!
Flat five today so with no subs, work rate was going to be tested.

Jenson was on fire today. Truly throwing himself into everything and putting his body on the line. First to everything and always looking to get involved. Bagged himself a goal from a sweetly struck free kick and earned himself a well deserved clean sheet.

Otis really was everywhere today. Moping everything up. Last ditch tackles, pinpoint through balls, a goal and everything inbetween. Huge shout for the cover he provided, clearing away a loose ball that was destined for goal !!

Fred’s work rate today was top draw. Up and down left and right. Fighting for everything. Using his strength today in all the right ways. Linking well with everyone and providing some worldly assists and bagging himself a wonderful brace !!

Vindog played his heart out today. Showing incredible team spirit fighting to get back, cover and get the team going. So unlucky with a beautifully struck free kick. Narrowly missing the net. But like most weeks. He still made it onto the score sheet through his relentless desire !!

MOTM - Zach. What a performance. From the moment he arrived Zach wanted everything. Despite his mums concern that he may be tired. He showed the complete opposite. Speed, strength, footwork and goals. He wanted everything and was relentless in his pursuit !!

Overall. An outstanding performance that deserved a standing ovation 👏👏

Sunday 22nd vs Hemington.

Captain today was Zach. Looking to build on from a sublime performance last weekend. Running the line at full pace again all game, taking players on. Bagged a wonderfully taken goal from a great cross !!

Jenson was rock solid as always between the sticks. Throwing himself at everything and truly putting his body on the line. Making some sublime saves with a shout for the brilliant double save.

Otis was busy mopping everything up. Some mega clearances and constantly battling to win the ball. Showed great composure when passing and moving the ball up the field.

Fred’s was strong in tackles and ruthless with the shooting. Driving forward taking players on and always looking for the goal. Netted a wonder strike from a well timed through ball !!

Vid-dog doing his thing as always. Twisting and turning players and looking to feed everyone on the pitch. Set pieces on point today, shown by a pin point assist for our second goal !!

Bodhi, man of the match today. He was as strong as ever. Battling forward and working tirelessly getting back. Covering ground like it was a mission !! Unlucky not getting on the score sheet but a wonder through ball saw him get an assist.

Home vs Priory Celtic Green

More Saturday football for the Ravens in what was to be an amazing game in the Sun down at Owen st, back on the grass.
We asked the boys for a more all round performance today in terms of both attacking and defending and they really did put on a show.
Jensons goalkeeping was fantastic yet again with some unbelievable saves, his goal involvements were quality aswell with two assists and a brilliantly taken free kick in an outfield spell which he drilled in the bottom corner 🔥.
Bodhi had a fantastic game, with some tidy close ball control and having the composure under pressure to play back to our goalkeeper! He also volunteered to go in goal and made some sublime saves 🤩.
Otis was again absolutely everywhere, offering for every ball! He took some balls out of the air really well and was first in to make key blocks and tackles! His workrate was top drawer 🙌🏻.
Fred’s had a spell in the midfield and at back and worked hard in both positions, we gave him the opportunity at the back to challenge his strength and ferocity 💪🏻.
Zach was like lightning as every, up and down all game, making some wicked recovery runs but also being fully involved in our forward play with two beautiful assists ⚡️.
Our MOTM in this one was Vinny, he was so clinical with his chances and the pick of the bunch saw him bring the ball down on his chest, with a tight turn and shot he score a beautiful goal, one of four!! A great display from him 🏆.
All in all a great effort from the Ravens and getting the reward for the hard work the put in again!
