What a way to start our Crofts Estate Agents Youth Football League - Grimsby season! ⚽️🔥

The Phantoms were absolutely brilliant today - they should be incredibly proud of their performance. With it being first game of the season, the nerves were high and everyone was feeling it - but they played absolutely brilliant and worked hard for each other all game.

Parents Player of the Match - Romeo 👏🏻🏆

Well deserved today Romeo with almost a unanimous vote for the POTM award. A great performance covering every blade of grass on that pitch and some fantastically-timed goals to put the team well ahead. 👏🏻🏆

Coaches Player of the Match - The Phantoms👏🏻🏆

A great all-round performance from every player on the pitch today it would be hard not to award it to the whole team. To start our season with such a positive performance, strong in possession, and working together for each other when in danger. Some incredible last-minute defending, strong interceptions and great movement in and out of the box. Well done 👏🏻🏆💙

Also, on a side note - how fantastic was it to have the whole team back together for the first game of the season! 🤩

After a very busy day of announcements, we can finally say that the squad is ready, and we’re officially set for another season. 💙

We’ve welcomed some new faces, watched players grow and develop, and brought together a group that we’re incredibly proud of.

Now the real fun begins… ⚽️

Whatever this season holds for us - the highs, the challenges, the tough games, the big moments and everything in between - we’ll go through it together, as we always do. Support each other, celebrate each other and keep pushing forward.💙

🚨🔵⚪ BREAKING: We are delighted to announce that Romeo has officially signed for Future Phantoms for the upcoming season, here we go! 💥

There’s not much Romeo won’t do on the pitch. Last season, he picked up our “Most Acrobatic Player” Award - and a certain goal-line clearance involving a rather impressive bit of athleticism may have had something to do with it! 🤸‍♂️ He loves being all over the pitch, getting stuck into whatever job needs doing. His versatility is unbelievable, and his willingness to do anything for the team makes him such an important part of the squad. 💪 But perhaps the biggest development last season was his attitude - the commitment, effort and willingness to give everything for his teammates really shone through, and we're really looking forward to watching him again this season wearing his #7 shirt👏

🚨🔵⚪ BREAKING: We are delighted to announce that Jay has officially signed for Future Phantoms for the upcoming season, here we go! 💥

There’s one thing that almost everyone has picked up on… Jay is FAST. 💨 He picked up our “Impact Award” last season for exactly what he can bring to a game - coming on, changing the momentum and giving the opposition a completely different problem to deal with. But it’s not just his speed that has developed over the last season. His confidence has grown massively, probably ten-fold, and we’ve seen a player who is now much more comfortable, much more involved and - most importantly - usually wearing a big smile on his face. 😁Last season he was dual-signed, but we’re absolutely delighted that he’s committed to us full-time this season, and will be wearing shirt number #19. 🙌

Rosie has never let size, strength or speed stand in her way. It doesn’t matter who she’s up against - she will battle for every single ball. That fearless attitude earned her our "Most Fearless Player” Award last season, and she couldn’t have been a more deserving winner. She competes, she battles, she never backs down - and she absolutely loves playing football, always playing with a smile on her face. Rosie has shown fantastic improvement with her shooting and crossing ability recently, and we can't wait to watch it develop throughout the season as she plays for us in shirt number #10. Delighted to have you with us, Rosie.

As our newest addition to the squad, Elijah will be wearing the number #8 shirt on the pitch. He's a real danger going forward, not afraid to get stuck in, battles for the ball and makes himself involved in every part of the game. Despite being new to the squad, he’s fitted in brilliantly - getting on with the job and showing a great attitude from day one. 👏 This will be his first season with us, and we’re excited to see how he develops, grows in confidence and continues to make his mark on the team. Welcome to the squad, Elijah. We can’t wait to see what you bring!

A fantastic player with creativity, energy and an endless work rate, he will be wearing #2 shirt for us this season. His non-stop running, constant effort and determination to chase every ball down earned him our “Engine” Award last season, and there really couldn’t be a more fitting name. He has a brilliant ability to create something out of nothing, and he’s never afraid to try something a little special… especially an overhead kick! 🤸‍♂️They don’t always come off - but when they do…🤯 We are so happy to have Akram back for another season.

🚨🔵⚪ BREAKING: We are delighted to announce that Kaiden has officially signed for Future Phantoms for the upcoming season, here we go! 💥

A key part of our midfield last season, Kaiden picked up the “Midfield Maestro” Award for his leadership, excellent positioning and football IQ. 🧠 He finished the season with the most assists, showing how important he was in creating chances and bringing others into the game. Known around the squad as either “Mini Rodri” or “KBG” - he’s built quite the reputation for himself in the middle of the pitch. Always calculating, clever and looking for that killer pass. We’re delighted to have Kaiden back, wearing shirt #16, and can’t wait to see what another season brings.

🚨🔵⚪ BREAKING: We are delighted to announce that Tommy has officially signed for Future Phantoms for the upcoming season, here we go! 💥

Joining us midway through last season, Tommy didn’t take long to find his place - in fact, he fitted in so well that he picked up our "Puzzle Piece” Award at the end of the season. 🧩 His energy, banter and personality have made him a brilliant addition to the squad. A player who can be trusted in several positions, his versatility has already made him a valuable part of the team. We’re delighted to have Tommy back with us, wearing shirt number #47, and can’t wait to see him continue to develop, grow and show us what he can do this season.
