U9 Greens went for a friendly with a tidy football team in grass road sharks.

We travelled there with only 5, one of them being Richie from the hoops.

Richie did really well with his step out in bands.

The first 2 quaters to watch was a very strange, we played some beautiful football then sloppy then beautiful then sloppy and so on.

Halftime came, and a few wise words and we started turning up the heat taking the game away from them. Short sharp passing with a goal on the end. What the sidelines love to see.

Player of matches went to skyler and jacob.

Skyler was on it today, slick movement with the ball, skill was unreal and scoring plenty of goals.

Jacob hard work all game made him stand out. His coming on brilliant with his passing game also. Also bagging plenty of goals.

Under 8 Greens in action against Grassroad Sharks Blues U8s this morning down at Cleator and a good game of football it was.

Greens came fast out the traps and scored a few goals very quickly but Grassroad didnt give up and got a goal back and what would be the theme of a well fought game. Greens attacked well, very direct and there was alot of great defending by grassroad who refused to give up and that was great to see. Really physical game that will do all the kids the world of good, the greens having the better of it on the day.

Well done both sets of kids 👏

Opposition coaches player was Albie J- Played really well in nets making some brave saves and recoveries, came out of nets and scored some nice goals and made some good passes. Well done Albie 👏

Coaches player- Was Brodie, today was the day it finally happened BRODIE GOT HIS 1ST GOAL 🎊 which he deserved as he was in the game, chasing people down, then his chance came, he took a posative touch and slotted it home to the delight of the home crowd and coaches. Great to see hom smiling from ear to ear. Amazing. Well done.

Onto the banding tournament next week for the greens! 🟢⚪️💪

⚽️ U16s League Fixture – Seaton United vs Celtic ⚽️

A positive start to the season for the Celtic U16s this morning as we travelled away to face Seaton United in our opening league fixture.

The lads came out of the blocks quick and put in a really impressive performance, playing some excellent football from start to finish. Plenty of great passing, movement and attacking football saw Celtic run out winners and get the season off to the perfect start. 👏⚽️
