🍀 CMC Hoops 🍀

Sunday seen us head to Windscale for their tournament, it was a great day. The refs, organisation and pitches were all fantastic. Unfortunately we got beat in the semi-final, the boys gave their all but just looked abit tired from playing 13 games across back to back tournaments.

Reflecting back, the team have really elevated their football this weekend it has been a pleasure to watch.

Player of the Tournament for Windscale went to Oscar. Oscar was a non-stop running machine in midfield, showing some silky skills and great decision making with his passes.

Our Whites lifted their 2nd winning trophy in a week. 🏆🏆 This time at the Windscale tournament. 💚🤍 The lads set off like a house on fire and played some great football throughout the day at a really well ran event.

Another tournament for the greens at our neighbours windscale.

It was a day of mixed emotions. Losing Skyler before a ball was kick, was a nighmare start. get well soon kid.

We started the first few games massively off our best. Then our physio stepped in a blasted them in the gazebo. This woke them up. The last 2 games we played awesome.

Coaches player went to Rory and Jacob.
Both battled there hearts out all day even when we weren't at the races. Well done kids.

Also well done to casson for coaches player yesterday. (Only managed to get picture today).

Well done whites u8s for winning the main cup.

Well done hoops for reaching another semi final.

🍀 CMC Hoops 🍀

Super day (almost) for the Super Hoops. They played incredible across all 8 games, really composed play, making the right decisions and working hard for each other.

They won 5 of the 6 group games, a semi-final and then after hitting the woodwork and having a goal disallowed, drew 0-0 and subsequently beaten on penalties in the Development Cup final. Sport can be cruel.

As a coach it was hard to watch the kids go home after dominating most of the day.

Congratulations to our two Players of the Tournament, Harvey and Alfie.

Harvey was a rock in defence. Calm, strong and played the right pass everytime.

Alfie was at times unplayable. Caused defenders problems every game and scored some important goals. Never stopped running down that wing!

Today Greens headed to the ranch to play in what we knew was going to be a really challenging tournament. Full of the band above teams.

I have never come away feeling this happy with our performances. On another day plenty of the games could of went the other way. We just couldnt find the net. The kids were peppering the opposition goal every game just couldnt hit the net.

Coaches player went to Casson and Leo.

Casson was absoulte brilliant today. Footwork, passing, workrate was next level. A kid that wears his heart on his sleeve. Leaves everything on the pitch, and is a born leader. Even off the pitch it was a pleasure to watch him with our greens today. 🌟 ⚽️ 💥

Leo was also brilliant today. His passing and defending was outstanding. I thought we lost him in the first game with his sore hip, but our new physio Lyndsey sorted him out ⚽️ 💥 🌟

Every kid can keep there head high today as they were all fantastic

The Whites lifted the trophy at our home tournament. 🏆
They were unbeaten all day and showed great character on and off the pitch.
One of the team goals they scored was unreal, 7/8 year olds to be playing football like that is what we want to see, and to see them using things we work on in training just shows me they are listening, what a special group of players 🍀

What a weekend.

Our home festival is back and going to get bigger and better.

Greens played some lovely football all day yesterday. They battled there hearts out which that is all I ask for. They came up short in the semi final against a top windscale side.

Super proud of every kid 💚

Coaches player went to Roby and Max. They both showed determination and resilience when called up on. Some great movement off the ball with some strong carrying on the ball.

Match of the tournament for me is when we meet hoops in our group game. Every kid on both sides played a part for a brilliant watch. So entertaining.
