So glad my mum’s started lifting with me💪💪🥺

Here’s my why:

Here’s my why:

as much as I try not to focus on lifting for looks I struggle to not use it as a measurement of my commitment

it’s problematic especially as a female when our hormones intervene with fluctuating weight and how we view ourselves

But measuring your progress through small goals and your commitment to them?

Now we’re onto a winner

Try it

Set yourself a goal and measure your progress by whether you’re the type of person who commits to yourself

even as a PT I don’t always love the gym, I don’t always lift to failure and I don’t always leave the gym feeling satisfied

Because that’s unrealistic

If you only lift under perfect circumstances you’re gonna fail pretty soon

Lifting for longevity isn’t about always lifting ‘perfectly’ it’s about lifting consistently no matter what

Working around the chaos that is LIFE

If you’re not lifting consistently yet, askyour self why not (and then check to see if your why not is an excuse or a genuine reason…)

3 ways to stop avoiding your morning gym session

I used to blame the gym for feeling tired throughout my day but really, it was just a scapegoat for all the other habits I was neglecting

Now lifting is part of my life, I can make sure I support it with the other habits that keep me fuelled!!

It can be difficult to make changes to your schedule or habits solidified for years but it’s worth it, I promise.

Because by building exercise into my life, it feels less like a chore and more natural - that’s the dream!!

Comment habit and I’ll teach u to build exercise into your life!!

Don’t let the myth that you need spend hours in the gym to improve your strength hold you back from getting started or staying consistent!!

lifting for longevity is about consistency

Yes, intensity is important but if you’re new to strength training then consistency needs to be your first focus

By adding lifting into your life, it becomes something you can do even when you’re short for time

Little bits of movement keeping the body working

not only is this a great start for our muscles and our bones but it’s also amazing to break up the day, especially if you work from home

Give it a try!!

Minimal effort, with undeniable rewards

(Btw my favourite is calf raises whilst I brush my teeth, feels extra productive !!)
