There's still time to join us, but we only have **4 spaces remaining** for this week's session!

FA Wildcats is a fun introduction to football for girls in Years 1–6, with a focus on making friends, building confidence and having fun in a relaxed environment.

📍 Chulmleigh Pavilion, Leigh Road, Chulmleigh
🕓 Thursdays | 4–5pm
💷 £3 per session (cash or card)
📅 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th June, 2nd & 9th July

Coaches Helen & Luke will be running this weeks session.

⚠️ Due to safeguarding requirements and coach-to-player ratios, all girls must be registered before attending and we cannot accept turn-ups on the day.

⚽ Wildcats Football is Back! ⚽

Chulmleigh YFC is hoping to run a 6-week block of Girls Wildcats sessions from the first week of June through to the week ending 10th July.

📍 **Location:**
Chulmleigh Pavilion, Leigh Road

💷 **Cost:**
£3 per session (Come along to one session or join us for all 6!)

🕒 **Proposed session times:**
⚽ Tuesday: 4:30–5:30pm
OR
⚽ Thursday: 4:00–5:00pm

Wildcats, run through The Football Association, is a fun, non-competitive football programme for girls aged 5–11 (primary school age).

Sessions are all about:
✅ Having fun
✅ Building confidence
✅ Making friends
✅ Giving football a go in a relaxed environment
No experience needed at all 💜

As a volunteer-run club, these are currently the only time slots we’re able to offer.

⚽ Thursday sessions can definitely run with existing volunteers.

⚽ If Tuesday is the preferred option, we would need one or two parent volunteers to help support the sessions across the 6 weeks (no football knowledge needed — just enthusiasm!). We would arrange the appropriate The Football Association DBS checks.

The U16's had their NDYL cup final match on Friday 24th April and although they suffered a 1-0 defeat they did themselves and the club proud. To get to a cup final is an achievement but to play with the quality, intensity, passion and determination that they did was impressive.

In the words of Flavio the coach "Right up to the final whistle, they kept pushing. The effort, the teamwork, the attitude, spot on.
The only thing missing was that elusive goal. Truly humbled and proud by the lads performance and spirit throughout the game."

To quote the U16's no 1 commentator "I’ve loved every minute of watching these lads and it finishes with nothing but the very best of memories. Thanks to every single player for giving us parents such special memories, ones that will live forever."

Chulmleigh U13 Girls Plate Final Winners at the Bideford AFC Tournament

On Sunday 3rd May, the Chulmleigh U13 Girls, travelled to the Bideford AFC Festival. Faces painted, and looking forward to a fun afternoon of football, they entered the league stage, and the games began, coming fast with little rest.

A resolute defensive display, and sheer determination in driving rain, saw some great results, with a couple of hard fought draws and exceptional attacking displays from Ava and Emily, both scoring, to see the team qualify from the group as top seeds in the Plate competition. Their reward, a place in the semi final.

Through determination, tears of adrenaline and pressure, and a goalkeeper who refused to be beat in Daisy, they won a penalty shootout to make the final. Amelia joining Ava and Emily in stepping up for the nail biting penalties.

As the Champions league music rang around the stadium, the supporters forming a tunnel, cheering and clapping, against all odds, they took to the field one last time. A physical game, that both teams battled hard to establish a lead, finally ended with the girls proud in defeat by a goal to nil. As they were cheered and clapped onto the stands to be awarded runners up medals, pride, emotion, and joy was plain to see. They turned up to play football, they surpassed what anyone could have imagined, and they won the hearts of everyone watching.

U15 Girls NDYL Plate Winners 🏆

Massive congratulations to our Chulmleigh U15 Girls who won the NDYL Plate Final today with a fantastic 3–0 victory 👏⚽

An incredible team performance from start to finish – great teamwork, brilliant passages of play, and some outstanding saves from Isabella to keep a clean sheet 🧤

The girls showed everything they’ve been working on in training and should be hugely proud of themselves.

A big thank you to Izzy & Joe for their dedication and support throughout the season

A special mention as well – with only 10 registered players and just 8 available today (with others away on Ten Tors training), the girls stepped up brilliantly.

Both of these teams are coming to the end of their youth football journey with Chulmleigh this season, so these matches are extra special. It would mean a lot to the players and coaches to have a strong club presence on the sidelines ❤️⚽️
