Beckington visit The Rec on Saturday, with play getting under way from 1pm.

☑️ BACK TO BACK!

The 1st XI moved to second in WCCL Division 4 in emphatic style with a comprehensive victory over Biddestone on Saturday.

Having lost the toss (again!), Skipper ’s team took the field and after initially encountering a frustrating opening partnership, .assinder prized open an end with two valuable scalps and finished his day with a deserved 2-22. Replacing Con, avenged a lean season thus far by usual standards to completely blow away the Biddestone lineup and claim the Club’s second five-bag of the season on the way to outrageous figures of 6-7 as a total of 87 was set for victory.

The chase was never in doubt as, Skipper Dicko and carried on from last week’s heroics in fine style, both ending with red inkers as Biddestone were flayed to all corners of the ground in quick time to overhaul the runs required in just 15 overs and claim a second 10-wicket win on the bounce.

A tough test awaits the 1st XI as they visit this coming weekend for a top of the table clash.

📆 Save the date!

After the success of last year, the Club are delighted to announce the return of the Dave Taaffe Memorial Match, bringing together current and former players alike to remember and pay tribute to a club legend who we sadly lost last year.

The Club and Dave’s family would be delighted to welcome you to The Rec on 7th June to celebrate Dave’s life and enjoy a 30 overs-a-side match, so please do head on down where refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon.

Once again, we will be raising funds for , so please dig deep and support a fantastic cause.

We can’t wait to see you!

🚨1st XI locked in for Saturday’s showdown away to Biddestone 🔒

☑️ BACK WITH A BANG 💥

The 1st XI avenged the previous week’s defeat in style, as had a day out last Saturday with a superb all-round performance leading the charge with victory over at a scorching Rec.

Bowling first, wickets were shared around with Con Dawg, Kev and Pruds both bagging 2-fers to restrict Marlborough to 195-9 on a very flat Rec deck.

In reply, that man Pruds brought up his maiden Malf ton to finish on 108* with support coming from the ever-dependable Skipper (82*) as the 1st XI romped home in style to overhaul the total with nearly 20 overs to spare and seal a victory by 10 wickets.

This weekend sees the 1st XI visit Biddestone with first back-to-back dubs of the season the aim.
