This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work in a supportive, forward-thinking clinic where patient care comes first, not appointment numbers.

Experience in private practice, sports injuries, rehabilitation, Pilates, running injuries, or strength & conditioning is welcomed but not essential.

Both newly qualified and experienced physiotherapists are encouraged to apply.

Starting to get my mojo back after the Boston Marathon and loving the trails. My next race is the Sprint South in just 5 weeks.

Having the word ‘sprint’ in the title is a bit misleading as the Spine Sprint South is 46miles on the Pennine Way from Edale to Hebden Bridge with no aid stations and no outside assistance 🫣

For this reason I need to get plenty of miles and elevation into my training, practice carrying a heavy pack with everything I need for potentially 14-18 hours in all weather conditions (that’s a lot of food to carry and the mandatory kit list is loonnnnggg!).

So, uphill interval thresholds, strength training and a double run weekend was on this weeks plan.

The shorter easy run was missed this week as I didn’t have time because I was decorating my physio clinic. I think 12 hours a day for 3 days painting & decorating definitely counts as cross training.

I had a lovely 3.5 hour run around Wendover Woods and saw the most beautiful deer who seemed happy to carry on eating in my presence. I’d forgotten how horrible the hills are around Wendover, but I know the effort will be worth it 🥵

A shorter 1.5 hours today on less challenging trails along the Chess Valley and around Sarratt rounded up this weeks training.

I’m definitely looking forward to tomorrow’s rest day ☕️

You crossed the finish line of the London marathon, but instead of feeling amazing, you feel flat 🫠

And no one warned you about that part.

After the London Marathon (especially in that heat), I’ve had so many messages from runners saying:

“I thought I’d feel happier than this…”

“Why do I feel a bit lost now it’s over?”

“I should be proud… but I’m not”

This is post-marathon blues, and it’s far more common than people realise (or admit).

Because marathon training gives you:

✅ Structure
✅ Purpose
✅ Identity

And then suddenly it’s gone.

At the same time, your body is dealing with:

– Hormonal shifts
– Nervous system fatigue
– Physical recovery

It’s the perfect storm.

So if you’re feeling a bit off right now, remember:

👉 You’re not broken
👉 You’re not ungrateful
👉 You’re human!

I’ve written a full blog on this (what’s happening + what actually helps) (link in comments)

And if this resonates, please know that this is normal and will pass in time.

Boston didn’t go the way I imagined… and I wasn’t ready for how hard that would hit 💔

I’ve spent 5 years chasing this moment with huge sacrifices. Time away from family, a lot of money and all the blood, sweat and tears of training.

I’ve had to overcome huge setbacks such as cancer scares, multiple operations and fighting multiple sclerosis.

I thought crossing the finish line in Boston and collecting my 6 Star Finisher medal would feel like everything.

Instead, I’ve been left processing something very different.

I’ve been struggling to even look at my race photos.

Not because I didn’t achieve something incredible… but because it doesn’t match the picture I had in my head.

And I know I’m not the only one who’s felt this.

We see the medals. The smiles. The “I did it” posts.

But we don’t see the doubt, the grief, the disconnect between expectation and reality.

That’s why I’m trying to remind myself:

🌟 Goals don’t always feel how you expect
🌟 Chronic illness doesn’t magically disappear on race day
🌟 And often the hardest part isn’t the race… it’s what comes after

So if you’ve done a big event recently and you’re finding things harder than you thought. Or if your big moment didn’t feel how you expected. Please know that you are not alone.

You’re not being ungrateful for feeling like this. You can have a lot of gratitude for the opportunities you’ve had and still feel sad.

And to those of you with family or friends who have done big things recently, check in on them and ask ‘How are you really feeling?’

Because behind the “highlight reel” there’s always more to the story.

I’m so grateful for the people who show up for me when I need it most. You know who you are 🫶

Fun day at the London Marathon expo yesterday, tinged with a little bit of sadness and some SERIOUS FOMO as I’m not running this year.

It started with a great panel discussion on the main stage with , and titled: ‘Fast isn’t Neutral: How Sports Science was built without Women’. Thank you to .pike for being my human tripod as I forgot mine 🤦‍♀️

In the green room I caught up with the amazing . The last time I saw him was during UTS when he was ‘having a bad day in the office’ due to cramp, so it was lovely to see him with his usual huge smile.

I caught up people from the amazing charities and that I coach and friends old and new

Lovely to meet multiple 6 star finishers and who are going for their 4th… yes FOURTH 6 Star Finisher medals on Sunday 😲

It wouldn’t be a London Marathon expo without my amazing friend . This guy means so much to me and helped me get some more photos with all my medals 🏅🌟

I loved looking at all the merch stalls and managed to get a 6 Star Finisher’s hoody (which I couldn’t get in Boston). I bought some new 8KO Iris photochromic lenses for my Forty42s and got some fabulous Triple Magnesium sachets from

A huge thank you to for my lovely goody bag with the Sarah pants and socks. I’m looking forward to trying them on my next run
