Chislehurst & West Kent Cricket Club

Chislehurst & West Kent Cricket Club Welcome to Chislehurst's only cricket club! Welcome to the Chislehurst and West Kent page.

Cricket has been played at our Chislehurst Common ground for the last 193 years consecutively (except during the Second World War), with illustrious players such as W.G. Grace often taking part in fixtures here during the late 19th century. During the summer months, we run four Saturday teams, playing league cricket, plus a Sunday side and a midweek team that play friendly matches against local op

position. We also have a thriving Junior section playing competitive matches in the under 9’s to under 17’s age groups. If you or one of your family are interested in playing cricket for Chislehurst & West Kent CC then please email us via [email protected] and we'll be happy to invite you along to a game or to a practice net. We welcome all players - boys, girls, youths, women and men - ages 5 to 95, and of all standards! Chislehurst & West Kent Cricket Club are very proud to be Club Mark Accredited and to be a member of the Cricket4Bromley

We hate to bring your stories such as these but over the weekend it appears that someone has had a BBQ on the cricket ground.

Can we remind you not only does this cause substantial damage to the ground but this is also a fire risk.

BBQs are strictly forbidden on the ground (and on any other of our wonderful commons land in Chislehurst).

Especially with the warm weather returning this week please refrain from such actions. You can join us for a drink in the bar instead!

What an afternoon! 🍰 🏏
The Malcolm Campbell walk & talk, organised by Chislehurst Society and hosted at our pavilion, was a complete sell-out - and not a seat to spare.

Local historian Joanna Friel brought Chislehurst's very own 'Speed King', Malcolm Campbell, to life, while our volunteers served up sandwiches and cake.

A special thank you to Joanna and walk leaders Gary and Zeb who generously donated their time. Every penny raised goes directly towards our heritage and pavilion project. 🙏 Also a big thanks to Olivia who provided the delicious homemade cakes, and to Madeline C who helped at the event, as well as our own Ricky, Dave and Louis.

Huge thanks to Chislehurst Society and to everyone who came along and made it such a special afternoon.

Watch this space for more events at the pavilion. 🏏
