Happy new year to you all , well it's a new year and I'm already starting to plan out what we need to do on our beloved tennis court, I'm just writing to let you know we have just been given a fantastic donation of 100 professional grade tennis balls , from Pam in Highfield as her daughter runs a big tennis club in Bristol, but more on that later . Which brings me on to one of many things we need to raise money for this season, I have been sitting the idea of getting a traing ball machine. Hours of fun can be held by one's self practising any racket technique etc so ,this year we really need to step up and get this tennis club up and running with new members etc ,it's cheaper than taking out a gym membership that you might only use once lol ( I've done that years ago lol ) so if there any local businesses out there who would like to sponsor the club that would be fantastic , or if you can't play tennis due to health / fitness etc and would like to be involved in the club ,we are asking for a regular donation of £2 per month which will very much help in the restoration of the court and up keep , So spring is in a few months time and the new 2026 season starts on the 1st of march so please get in touch with me for more information on becoming a member or on any thing mentioned above so for now a huge happy new year to you all .Matt ps this is we need donations for etc

Good morning all , it nice to see that we have some interest in our Tinsel & Tennis event , but in order to do this we will need a minimum of 5 slots booked for the tennis (2 players per slot ) , & a minimum of 20 bookings to see father Christmas, ,all bookings will need to be made and paid for by sat the 13th ,we can do card and bank transfer now ,but all we need for now is for you to text me your names and phone numbers etc so a lists can be made . Sorry it has to be done this way but there is a lot of arranging to be done like emailing the north pole etc and getting the court looking festive, so please please support us in doing this and let us have some fun ,kind regards Matt

Hi all , on April the 1st 2026 starts the new tennis season , it's come to my attention about WALKING TENNIS, .
Walking tennis is played with softer balls so that are slower and not so bouncy , the rules are simple ,no running about just walking , the ball is allowed to bounce twice allowing time for the player to gently get to the ball and hit it back ,. Apparently this is how you start to learn how to play tennis , suitable for all ages ,walking tennis is a fantastic way to get some gentle exercise in too, let alone make friends and have fun. So if there are ex members out there who would like to come out of retirement and maybe do a bit of coaching that would be fantastic, also please message us back if maybe you would be interested in joing a walking tennis club next year .As these things need planning etc ,just want to see how many of you would be interested in it.
