What a brilliant way to end the girls’ cricket season! Our final training session was one to remember, with mums and female relatives joining in for a fun-filled evening of cricket, laughter, and friendly competition 🩷

We may have even uncovered a few hidden talents ready to join the diamonds! 💎😉

We’re delighted to celebrate the success of our Chippenham Diamonds player, Lisa Sullivan, who recently represented England Women’s over 50s in the Women’s Master World Cup.

The England squad enjoyed a fantastic tournament, winning all 7 of their matches to be crowned Masters World Cup Champions - a brilliant achievement for all involved 🏆

Congratulations to Lisa and the whole England team on a super campaign 🥳
It’s wonderful to see one of our players involved in such a successful tournament, and we’re proud to have been part of her cricketing journey 🥰

As the season comes to a close, the diamonds have been busy playing their final few fixtures with just two more to go 😅

Sunday saw us travel to Weston Super Mare for our final 35 over game this year. With many young bowlers in our side, we chose to field first to give all our bowlers a chance to bowl their overs regardless of the result. WSM were very strong and pulled off a convincing win but Chipp managed to take 6 wickets in the process. 3 wickets for Abbie and 1 a piece for Tilly, Rachel and Lily ☝️ Top score with the bat was Tilly 🏏

Monday we travelled to Winsley for our final T20 league match. Having been put into bat, we got off to a very strong start with some very good running between the wickets. We finished our innings 150/2 and were positive heading out to field with Tilly taking a wicket first ball of the innings! Winsley finished their innings 125/5. Standout performance from Emily Smith scoring 50* and taking 3 wickets with the ball 👏 The diamonds have finished the T20 league strongly with 4 wins on the bounce 🙌🏼

Finally Tuesday night saw our two diamonds teams face each other in the hardball pairs league. Some really great performances across the board from everyone and a very enjoyable game. Blacks came out with the win 340-305. Well done to the greens for finishing 3rd in the league and congratulations to our blacks who have secured league champions with a game to go 🏆

The end of the 2026 season is in sight, big final push coming for the last couple of games 😮‍💨😮‍💨

Congratulations to all the girls who have played in the u11 side this season, you’ve all been amazing and thoroughly deserve this success 🫶

Also a massive well done to our diamonds player Leona, who has coached these girls brilliantly through their unbeaten season in her first year as a coach 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Third T20 win on the bounce 🥳

A great effort from the whole team to pull off a convincing win on Tuesday night ☺️

With Marshfield electing to bat first, our bowlers all bowled really well to restrict them to just 85 runs with wickets being shared between Charlotte H, Emily and Charlotte P including a catch from Emily and a run out from Lily ☝️

We batted with great intent from the off and chased the total down in 9.3 overs for the loss of 2 wickets with Katie top scoring on 32*, closely followed by Emily on 25* and Lily scoring 11 🏏

A night of great cricket played in great spirit 🫶

Another T20 win 🙌🏼

Well done to all those who played for the diamonds on Sunday.
After a struggle for numbers meaning we were 10 vs 11, the ladies and girls did brilliantly and took the win against Royal Wootton Bassett 👏

Some nice batting contributions with Lily top scoring on 28 runs.
An experienced bowling line up from Bassett saw us bowled out for 108 runs and a lot to do in the field with a player down 🫠

Everyone bowled and fielded excellently to restrict Bassett to 97/9 off their 20. Wickets shared between Abbie, Annie, Beth, and Lily with catches taken by Tracey and Annie ☝️

A superb diamonds debut from Annie who finished 15 not out with the bat before taking a catch in the field to go with her 3 wickets! 🤩

Not only did our ladies take the win, there were wins across the board on Sunday for our U11 girls, U10 mixed and U13 mixed as well. 4/4 wins for Chippenham resulting in a mini Nam Slam 🥳🥳
