This evening the lads took on Durham league Div 1 side Belmont in a friendly.

The night was split up in to 3 separate games giving all the players a good run out.

Game 1:
Belmont came out on top showing their quality all over the pitch. The lads didn’t give up and kept going till the end where we still created some good chances. ⚽️

Game 2:
A much brevet, determined and energetic performance from us which saw us get the win. For the full 15 minutes the boys did not stop making it a lot harder for Belmont and in the end deservedly getting the win 💪

Game 3:
Chilton conceeded a goal after just 9 seconds in the third game and from that point found it hard to get their noses back in front.
Again quality from the opposition showed and managed to grab a couple more. Chilton kept going till the end and never gave up creating several chances of their own.

* overall a fantastic effort from the lads who can certainly hold their heads high against their division 1 opponents. They didn’t stop working hard from the first to the final whistle.

* ⁠this time last year we were in div 5, so this shows how much progress and development the team has made in a year.

Match Report - 10/06/2026

Tonught the boys travelled to New Bottle to play against Peterlee. They started off great and looked comfortable! George scored the first with a fantastic cross from Matthew!

George scored his second taking on players down the wing then hitting across the keeper and into the bottom corner!

The boys then switched off for a couple of mins which allowed the opposition back in the game.

Teddy then scored just before half time which was grrat for the lads to then go and regroup before coming back on!

Second half the lads entered the pitch in the same manner they did the first half and kept the opposition pegged back for the majority and kept their chances to a minimum.

Well done boys on a small pitch we managed some great link up play and created some good chances. If it wasn’t for their keeper it could and should have been 6 or 7, his saves were fantastic!

Well Done to our captain Finlee who has completed his 2nd 5k park run this week knocking a massive 6mins 11 seconds off his time last week.
