⚽️ Bolsover Town U8s – End of Season Review 2025/26 ⚽️

As we bring the 2025/26 season to a close, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on what has been another memorable year for this fantastic group of players.

This season saw us step up into a higher division, and as expected, we found the challenge much tougher than the previous year. There were difficult moments along the way, but what stood out throughout the entire season was the character, commitment, and togetherness shown by every single player.

Week after week, the lads continued to turn up for training with smiles on their faces, eager to learn and improve. Matchdays regularly saw near enough a full squad available, showing the dedication not only of the players but also of the parents who supported them every step of the way.

While results weren’t always easy to come by early in the season, the progress made by the group was clear for everyone to see. As the season went on, performances improved, confidence grew, and the players started to get the rewards their hard work deserved. The development shown both individually and as a team has been outstanding.

One of the highlights of the season was undoubtedly our trip to Filey, where the team achieved an incredible runners-up finish in the tournament. More important than the result itself was the bond, friendship, and togetherness the players displayed throughout the weekend. It was a fantastic example of what this team is all about and a memory that will stay with us for a long time.

As a coach, I couldn’t have asked for any more from this group. Every player has represented Bolsover Town with pride, determination, and a willingness to learn. I’m incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved and grateful to have been part of their journey throughout the U8s season.

Thank you to all the players, parents, and supporters for your commitment and encouragement throughout the year.

Now it’s time to look forward to the next chapter.

A massive congratulations to Lukah who was awarded yesterday’s Bolsover Town U8s Tom Henson Player of The Match! ❤️🤍

From the very first whistle right until the final minute, he gave absolutely everything for the team and worked his socks off all game 👏⚽️ His energy, determination and effort were brilliant to see and he caused problems for the opposition throughout the match.

Not only did he create multiple chances for his teammates, but he also scored an absolutely incredible goal that had everyone cheering 🙌🔥 On top of that, he showed fantastic teamwork by assisting Harlow for a brilliantly worked team goal ⚽️🤝

It was a top performance full of hard work, quality and teamwork,everything we love to see from our players 💪

Well done, thoroughly deserved mate, keep working hard and enjoying your football ⚽️❤️🤍

Bolsover Town U8s Match Report ⚽🔴⚪

📍Brookfield Community School

🆚 Chesterfield Community Trust FC

During the first half we wanted to build on the performances from the last few weeks, and credit to the players because they did exactly that 👏

The team played some really good football, defended together brilliantly and held their shape really well throughout the half 💪⚽ In a competitive and entertaining first half we managed to score a well-worked team goal, showing some excellent passing and movement 👌

Despite the opposition getting themselves on the scoresheet, LB9 decided to take matters into his own hands with an absolute wonder strike from the halfway line 🚀🔥 A goal that had everyone watching applauding!

At halftime the message was simple,keep playing the way we had been, continue making the pitch big and keep up all the positive aspects from the first half 🗣️⚽

The second half was a little different. Despite the players giving everything and continuing to work hard, we couldn’t quite reach the same levels as the first half performance. Credit to our opponents who took their chances well.

Another good learning experience for the team and plenty of positives to take moving forward 👏🔴⚪

⚽️ Bolsover Town U8s Match Report ⚽️

📍 Venue: Brookfield Community School⏰ KO: 9:15am🌦 Weather: Showers

Before the game we spoke to the players about how important it was to use every player and make the pitch as big as possible when we had the ball. 👏⚽️

The first half was a very close encounter with both defences and goalkeepers coming out on top in a really entertaining half of football. Chances came at both ends but neither team could find the breakthrough. As an ex-goalkeeper, I have to give a special shoutout to the opposition keeper who produced an unbelievable point blank save! 🧤🔥

At half time we told the players to keep believing in themselves, continue using every player and back their own ability. 💪⚽️

The second half was just as competitive with both teams continuing to play football the right way and looking to take the game to each other. There were a few goals for the supporters to cheer this half and the effort from every player on the pitch was fantastic and fought right until the very end 🙌⚽️

A brilliant advert for grassroots football from both teams today. Well done everyone! 👏❤️🤍⚽️

What a game this was from start to finish 👏

The first half was a brilliant advert for grassroots football, with both teams trying to play the game the right way. From the first whistle, it was clear this was going to be a closely contested match. Both sides showed great quality on the ball, looking to pass and move, and there were some fantastic passages of play from our lads.

Defensively, we worked hard as a unit, staying organised and putting in some important tackles and blocks when needed. Going forward, we created some really good chances and were rewarded with goals, but Samba responded well too. It was a proper end-to-end battle ⚽️🔥

💬 Half Time Message:
We spoke about believing in ourselves, continuing to trust each other, and using the full width of the pitch. The focus was on involving everyone, moving the ball quicker, and stretching the game to create more opportunities.

The second half picked up right where the first left off,competitive, exciting, and full of effort from every player on the pitch 💪

Again, both teams found the net, showing attacking intent, but just as importantly there was some excellent defending on both sides. The determination, teamwork, and attitude from our players were spot on, and it was great to see them putting the half-time messages into practice,using their teammates more and making better decisions in possession 👌

A massive well done to all of our players today…your effort, teamwork, and attitude were brilliant from start to finish. Keep working hard and enjoying your football ⚽️💙❤️

Player of the Match – 25th April 🏆

A huge shoutout to today’s Player of the Match, one of our goalkeepers! 🧤

He was in outstanding form throughout the game, but really stepped it up in the second half where he pulled off a number of brilliant saves to keep us in it. His reactions, positioning, and bravery between the sticks were top class 👏🔥

Time and time again he came to our rescue, showing great confidence and composure under pressure. Whether it was close range stops or dealing with shots from distance, he stood tall and gave everything for the team 💪⚽

It’s not just about what he does on matchday either,his attitude in training, willingness to learn, and effort both in and out of goal are what make him such a valuable part of the squad.

Well deserved today, keep working hard and pushing yourself every week! 🚀
