As the 2026 season gets underway, there’s a lot to be excited about, but also some bittersweet news.

Unfortunately, but also fortunately, new opportunities have arisen, which means I’ll be saying farewell to the guys and girls. I joined the team back in 2023 for my first-ever season in cars and instantly found myself on the podium with them.

I can’t thank all the team at Exceler8 enough for everything they’ve done for me and my career. I’ll truly miss being a part of the team.

A special thank you to Justina for making me feel so welcome from day one, as well as the number one mechanics I’ve had along the way and . Of course, I can’t forget the driver coaches, with who we shared great success , , and . And lastly, thank you to all my teammates over the years who made the team feel like family❤️

I wish everyone at Excler8 luck this year, fingers crossed a lot of silverware to come 🏆

On to the next chapter... exciting news to come👀

A Year to Remember in UKC - 2025 🙌🏆

Continuing with Ultimate R - the team I won the 2022 UKC Junior Rotax title and the Kartmasters GP with - the goal for 2025 was clear: the UKC Senior Rotax Title 🏆.

With no pre-rounds and no extra karting championships to fall back on, consistency was always going to be the key. And we delivered - by the final round we’d built a 67-point lead, putting us firmly in control of the title race ⚡
..only not to be able to take part in the finale due to the crash at Silverstone in my car-racing programme😩😔.

However, the points we'd scored meant even without competing in the final round, we came home P4 overall 🙌

Podiums at Rowrah and Warden Law were standout moments, but the real story was the relentless scoring that kept us at the front all season and put us in such a strong position heading into the final weekend. A big thank you to the team Ultimate R, my No1 and . This was a season to be proud of 👉

🥇 2/6 Pole Positions
Finals: 🥈🥈 2/6 Podiums
Heats:🥇 2 Wins & 🏆 8 Podiums

The support trackside this year have been unbelievable 🙌

Meeting so many of you at the TOCA rounds - Brands Hatch, Thruxton and Donington Park - has been one of the best parts of 2025. The atmosphere at each event has been incredible, racing on such huge weekends, with an av. 32,500 people attending is a great privilege.

This year I’ve signed and given out over 600 posters, and every conversation, photo and autograph has meant a lot. I genuinely love meeting people in the paddock, and it’s always a reminder of how special this sport is.

Thank you for all the support throughout 2025 - I hope to see you all again in 2026!

Team Appreciation post for the amazing guys and girls at EXCELR8 Motorsport 🙌

I've had an incredible team around me this season in the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE, who without, I simply would not have been able to achieve what we did. To say the guys and girls work hard is an understatement.

🫡 To TM Dan Zelos – thank you for the constant support through every moment. You’ve guided everything from the top, kept the weekends calm and focused, and backed your drivers when it mattered. From day one of my car-racing career you’ve helped bring me on massively as a driver, and that’s made a huge difference to everything we achieved.

📈 To the set-up and data wizard 🧙‍♀️ my engineer Dom Wheatley. You’ve once again been amazing this season. Your experience as a champion in this series, the way you read the car, and how you break everything down has been invaluable. The effort you put in, the late nights, and the precision you bring to every run meant the car was spot-on every time we hit the track.

To the workshop staff - you guys are the backbone of everything that happens behind the scenes. The hours you put in to get the cars ready, turned around, and reliable every weekend doesn’t go unnoticed.

Last but not least, my No.1 tech Fordy 🔧 He put in the work to make sure the car was prepped and maintained, pre- and during weekends, to the highest standard - the core of every success. His knowledge and experience are second to none, and it’s been incredible to race with him this year, with plenty of laughs along the way 🤣

I’m grateful for the effort from every part of the team, not just this year but across my first three seasons in car racing. I hope you have a great time at the awards this weekend celebrating everything from 2025 - there is plenty to celebrate 🏆!

An incredible 2025 😃

It’s hard to capture this season in one post - but here’s the roundup. We went into 2025 with one aim: to become MINI Challenge Trophy Champion. And we came unbelievably close 🤏

🥇 2 Race Wins
🏆 8 Podiums
🎯 2 Pole Positions
🎖️ 1 Lap Record

All of it put us P2 overall and rapidly closing the gap to the championship leader…

…until the crash at RD6 Silverstone ended our challenge, with medical grounds ruling me out of the finale and the title fight.

It’s easy to focus on how it ended - but the real story is the campaign we delivered: pace, consistency, and fighting at the front every single weekend. Something I’m genuinely proud of.

Thank you to everyone who made this year possible 🫶🏼

As I continue on my recovery to build toward a full 2026 return. Here’s what the journey looked like 👉

A message from Gabe:

“The last few posts have been on the sadder side, and it’s been incredibly tough watching the races I was meant to compete in from the sofa. (Netflix, please release more shows - I’ve officially completed you🤣).
Sadly, this is going to continue to Brands Hatch next weekend, as I won’t be fit to compete for the title at the final weekend of the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy.

On September 28th, following the incident, I sustained six fractures to my pelvis, two fractures in my neck, three broken ribs, and a punctured lung. I have no memory of the incident, but from reports that are back it me it sounded as big as you’d expect for the injuries sustained. Basic movements became a challenge, and mobility was extremely limited. We had some initial hope of getting fit for the final round, but even though things have improved, the fractures are still too severe and I’m still not near full fitness, so I can’t be signed off to race. There just wasn’t enough time.

But I’m incredibly grateful that there are no long-term complications and that, after a full recovery, I’ll be able to return to being myself. I want to say a massive thank you to the marshals who attended to the crash, the medical team at Silverstone, and everyone at John Radcliffe Hospital. Your care and quick actions made all the difference.

On a more positive note, the support and messages I’ve received during this time have truly powered me through. In what’s been one of the hardest periods of my life, your kindness has brought real happiness.

Thank you to everyone who reached out or interacted with my posts - it honestly means the world. To my family, my friends, my team and my manager Jonny: thank you for your patience, love, and constant support. I really don’t know where I’d be without you.

It’s definitely not the ending we hoped for, after a P2 and P1 and with some real momentum on our side, we were sitting P2 in the championship and closing the gap to the leader with some real momentum on our side.

Now, my focus is on recovery and rebuilding, with eyes firmly set on the 2026 season. I’m more determined than ever to get back in the car and do what I was made to do.”

P4 in UKC without competing in the final round!!!

Elated to secure 4th place overall in , despite missing the final round on medical grounds. This wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing team at 💪

Gutted to have missed the finale, as I truly believe we could’ve finished even higher - but to come away with this result despite not racing in the final round just shows how strong we’ve been all year.

It’s been agonising watching from home, but this result is an incredible one to enjoy. Thank you all for the support - it’s meant the world.

See you soon!
