We had an amazing start on Saturday, hosting our first girls' football sessions! The storm didn't stop us, and the feedback was really positive. We're excited for our next session this Saturday 11th October.

There are spaces available - this is perfect for your daughter if she:

💚 is looking to start playing football or team sports
💚 already plays football or another sport and wants extra training
💚 wants to be more active and do something fun in a social environment

A huge well done to the Chepstow Town AFC Girls under 12's! Amazing to be top of the league after four games. Lots of girls did extra training this past week, and it's clearly paid off! Practice makes perfect!

The Under 12's continued their winning start to the season with a tight 2-1 win against Ponthir Blues.

Cheppie took the lead when Indi played an amazing through ball for Harriet to run onto and slot past the keeper. But it was 1-1 at half time.
It was a fight in the second half and the under 12's dug deep to get a winner with ten minutes to go, Lois crossing low for Abi to tap in her 17th goal of the season ( 17 😳) and win the game.
After that it was backs against the wall defending, but they held strong and kept Ponthir at bay to stay joint top of the league. Well done girls 👏👏👏

We had lift-off with our first ever football session yesterday!

We braved the winds to play football, and it was a great morning for the girls.

Know Your Worth Football Coaching officially opened for business!

A huge thank you to the girls who came yesterday, and the parents, of course, who came to watch. The initial feedback has been really positive, and I'm so glad the girls had fun!

Hopefully the weather is better for our session next Saturday morning.

There are still spaces available, so if any girls aged 6-9 are looking to either play football for the first time, or play for a team and want extra training, please get in touch!

Girls Football Sessions Start Saturday 4th October 2025!!!

0930-1030 at Chepstow Town Football Club, NP16 5PR!!!

These sessions are for girls aged 6-9 who:

⚽️ Haven't played football before and are looking to get into the sport

⚽️ Are looking to play in a friendly, stress-free environment

⚽️ Already play for a team, but are looking for extra training to support their development

⚽️ Want to meet new people and make friends

Run by Know Your Worth Football, in association with Chepstow Town Football Club, the session will be coached by Ben Miller, who is working towards his UEFA C License and currently coaches Chepstow Town Under 12 girls. He also has experience coaching and working with neurodiverse girls.

The cost for your first session is FREE, followed by a monthly payment of £30.00 if your daughter likes it and wants to come back.

Depending on interest and numbers attending, we might run more/extra sessions on weekday evenings.

I'm not just a Career and Life coach, I also coach football, mainly girls football.

My daughter has undiagnosed autism and ADHD, but loves playing football. It's been an honour to coach her, her teammates, and other girls/children to participate in the sport they love.

That's why I'm opening a football school, starting at Chepstow Town football club on Saturday 4th October 0930-1030 for girls aged 6-9.

It's a huge step for me, because I've spent months talking about doing something like this without taking action. It's about time I let go of the imposter syndrome and gave back to the community. Women's sport is growing and I want to do what I can to support it.

I love learning. It's something that I've been passionate about since I scraped through my nursing degree at university. I've been determined to make up for making that experience pretty poor.

Since I've taken on coaching my daughter's football team, I've been determined to support women's participation in sport. I've done a lot of work in the evenings and weekends to support my daughter or local teams. Hopefully, in less than two weeks, my girls football school opens its doors.

I'm not one to go halfway in on anything, so I've paid to do a course so I can become a Certified Women's Coaching Specialist.

This way, I won't just be helping girls participate in sports, but women who are already engaging in sport or want to engage but don't know how.

Things have come a long way in women's sport over the last ten years or so. Hopefully, it will keep evolving.

Coaching works, and it can help you do incredible things.

This person lacked (still lacks) confidence in themselves, but has climbed up the career ladder so quickly. All I did was give them the tools to do it themselves.

They're going to do incredible, amazing things. And I'll still be there to support them!

A couple of years ago I did an interview with Abi Wormell about recruitment and retention in social care services, and how I managed to overcome what is, traditionally, such a massive issue in the sector. Even though it was a couple of years ago, the principles I applied are still the same, possibly even more so. In any industry, things like recruitment problems can be solved with the right application and process. The hardest part is identifying what you need to do, what needs to change, and how to make those changes.

Does this sound familiar:

"They were really good at the job, but since they've been promoted their work hasn't been the same."

So many people get promotions because they're "really good" at the previous role. But being good at one role doesn't mean you'd be good at leading it. You also need support, processes, a thorough induction, coaching, leading.

When was the last time leaders received support in managing conflict? Or crisis intervention? Or how to cope when they're constantly firefighting?

So many people struggle when they've been promoted because they aren't given the right tools to adapt to their new role. It's not the person - it's the process.

I've been in that position. I've also helped many people in that position. It might feel like you're failing, but there IS a way out.
