Tumble Tots Chelmsfords first term starts today, kicking off in East Hanningfield.

We can’t wait to welcome lots of little Tumble Tots and families to class, ready to learn, play, move and have fun!

Before you head out, make sure your checklist is complete:

Tumble Tots T-Shirt (from your membership pack)
Suitable bottoms for easy movement
Refreshments (it’s thirsty work!)
Removable socks (barefoot is best!)
Most importantly… HAVE FUN!

Crossing the midline means moving a hand, foot or even your eye across the imaginary line that divides the left and right sides of your body.

It's something children practice naturally through reaching, twisting, crawling, throwing, catching and exploring during play.

These movement help develop coordination and the ability to use both sides of the body together.

At Tumble Tots, children get the opportunity to develop these skills through play!

We are more than soft play...

At Tumble Tots, play has a purpose ✅

Our equipment, activities and progression are designed to work together, helping children develop confidence, coordination, balance, agility and independence while having fun.

For our younger classes, grown ups are part of the session too. You get to join in, encourage your little one and celebrate their achievements with them.

*Grown ups participate in sessions up to 3 Years. From 3 Years to School Age, children take part independently working towards school readiness' 🎒

Why do toddlers copy other children?

Ever noticed your toddler suddenly trying something because another child did it first?

It’s not just copying.

Watching other children can help toddlers learn how activities work, understand what happens next and feel more confident about having a go themselves.
At Tumble Tots, children have opportunities to watch, join in and learn alongside others during structured group activities.

Sometimes seeing another child climb, jump or try something new is all the encouragement they need to think:

Why do we use wooden equipment?

Because it gives children something solid to climb, balance on, step over and move around.

Our bespoke equipment is designed to create different physical challenges throughout the session, helping children practise balance, coordination, strength and body awareness as they move 👣

And because the layout changes regularly, there’s always a new way to explore it 🤩

This week we’ve held 2 taster days. One in Writtle and one in Great Baddow.

We met so many lovely families and we loved seeing the little ones exploring and having fun.

To those already in their yellow tops 🤩 we’re so excited that we can welcome you back very soon and to everyone else we hope you enjoyed the sessions as a taste of what’s to come if you decide to begin your Tumble Tots journey- we’d love to see you again.
