Skateboarding is a street sport that is very popular. Skateboarding came around during the 1940's, there are many reasons for using a skateboard. Skateboards can be used for travel, tricks or just fun. Skateboards are a very popular form of travel.The types of boards that are normally used for transport are cruisers. It would be great to have a skate park in cheddington because it would mean people would not get run over and die.A skate park is also a safe for skaters and it would also provide a better skating experience. Having a skate park will also encourage more people to skateboard. WILL AND CAMERON !!!

Scootering is a freestyle sport that is extremely popular in Cheddington, it is a new sport that is one of the fastest growing in the country. Since it is this popular in the village the streets are not a suitable or safe place for people to practice. This is why a skate park would be great for our community and this particular sport, it would get the scooteres off the street and Into somewhere which is safe, it will also encourage people to get involved with this activity and try something new - Jack & Chris

Cheddington Village Fete
Cheddington Youth Council arranged for AVDC’s Mobile Skate Park to attend the village fate to launch our ideas and gather support. We witnessed the enthusiastic interest of young “Skaters”, both boys and girls.

Cheddington Youth Council fed back results of their survey and asked the Parish Council to give their support and help with the following;
• Providing and allocating a suitable plot of land in the village for a skate park
• Help endorse (if required) any funding applications.
• Provide assistance with identifying any requirements associated with a public/community area
