i had a little break from socials over this easter bank holiday, and managed to find the perfect balance between socialising, training, working and resting (wayooo, finally!)☀️💘 i hope you had a gorgeous weekend too,

Tapas (Sanskrit: तपस्) the word translates to heat and in Buddhism, denotes spiritual practices, including meditation, which teach us about self-discipline; change, tolerance and transformation.

Religious or not, around this time of year many of the western world go about change in the form of giving up something for lent, in the run up to Easter, if you did (im proud) well done, and if not that’s ok too.

I personally gave up nothing. I prefer to discipline in a way of reducing the bad stuff and increase the good stuff in moderation, except for yoga which I can do every day …

what about you ? have you given up something ? how are you getting on?

i am not a big one for specific days to show love to specific things or people, but sometimes when something is important to someone, we adapt and we show love in the ways that they care about … so here’s to you mum, today and everyday.

i am sharing this little poem I wrote to you a couple of years ago,

you are simple
you are pure

you are effortless
but you make effort

you care
about people
you are interested

you are funny
so funny
and we laugh together
every single day

i love that you
don't take life too seriously

i love that you
don't take yourself too seriously

and you are my favourite
my absolute favourite;
person to sing with
person to laugh with
person to wind up
and be cheeky to
person to be clumsy with
person to massage in savasana,

simply the best
person to share,

you listen
and advise

Wellness 💞 What an honour to be a part of wellness month in January

here’s a couple of snaps from our yoga event in collaboration with

delicious snacks provided by the gorgeous

& a couple of key takeaways from the wonderful panel event, around looking after your well-being, here are my favourites ..

- start now! Because it’s much better install the right habits to prevent illness than it is to cure;

- Resilience - it’s is all about recovery, hitting reset, to allow us to work at our best (sleep, exercise, diet)

- Manage energy not time - don’t work like crazy when your energy is low! This can lead to bad work quality plus burnout, it’s a no from me.

- Prioritise sleep - on average we need to get 7-9 hours in per day

- Social connection - in a world that so many people work from home and stats on loneliness are super high, find time to meet with friends and loved ones

- Strict boundaries within yourself - learn how to say no / set time boundaries to make sure you get some time to switch
