We wasn’t at Thurxton last weekend, but have been on the bike preparing for Cadwell next weekend. Really looking forward to that one.

Here is a recap from the last round I did at Oulton Park.

Spend Fp1 and 2 trying different suspension settings and engine maps trying to get something that felt right. Unfortunately we went the wrong way for FP2 meaning we went into qualifying with a complexly new setup.

Race day one, we had qualifying and a race.

A solid effort in qualifying with achieving a new PB, 26th on the grid. Nearly 3 seconds knocked off from fp2 so glad to have made up some time😅.

Race 1 was a good race, I got a decent start and was battling with a small group. Unfortunately there was a red flag and so I finished 24th, less than 1 second behind 22nd.

Day 2, Race 2 was frustrating, couldn’t seem to get into a groove. Bike felt completely different despite no changes, couldn’t get upto pace and stay there. few sketchy moments coming off the track and over a second slower than the previous race. Finished in 24th.

Overall can’t complain, progress was made and lessons learnt.

Big, shout all my supporters, and sponsors for following me over the weekend. Especially with my dad and Grandad is always for being there the track side. Joe Finnigan, Finne Groundworks, helperformance.com, Ian Hood, fans, Amalgamated Tyres, EMD Custom Graphics, Xclusiv Race Parts

Going into Oulton Park this weekend for another BSB round should be a good one. Here is a recap from the last round at Brands.

Felt good from day one with fp1 and 2 going smoothly with a few changes being made to sort out the suspension, hovering around new PBs by the end of the day.

Day one we had qualifying and a race.
A solid effort in qualifying with achieving a new PB, 28th on the grid. Race 1 was a crazy one with lots going on, after the 10 racing laps i finished 24th, just shy of my fastest lap.

Day 2, Race 2 Was having some good battles through out the race, unfortunately I dropped back a few spots but overall a mega race finishing 21st and getting a new PB too.

Big, shout all my supporters, and sponsors for following me over the weekend. Especially with my dad and Grandad is always for being there the track side. Joe Finnigan, Finne Groundworks, helperformance.com, Ian Hood, fans, Amalgamated Tyres, EMD Custom Graphics

🏁Going into the next round of BSB at Brands this weekend, here is a recap from Snetterton.🏁

started things off by hitting a new PB off the bat in FP1, felt confident and had some great weather all weekend long. In FP2, we were trying to finalise some suspension changes, I went quicker getting a new PB and closer to the 53s.

Going to qualify and I was feeling really confident after a good test day, made a change to the suspension to try help the bike turning as well as giving it some support in the front. Unfortunately, I was struggling in qualifying with the change we made and causing the tire to wear quite a lot on the front. Couldn’t quite get the same lap time and place 28th on the grid for the race.

Come the race day, it was feeling like it was gonna be a good one, I had a great start and pulled through quite a few on the first lap. Unfortunately, there was an incident caused the red flag meaning the race was restarted after the restart. I still got an alright launch off the line. I was having a few battles throughout the whole race with a couple of riders which made it super enjoyable. Made a few mistakes as I was pushing hard as as well as trying to prevent the front from tucking due to not being able to solve this front suspension problem. Finished in 22nd

Really happy with this finish got a new PB into the 53s setting me up with a lot of confidence for the next round at brands.

Big, shout all my supporters, and sponsors for following me over the weekend. Especially with my dad Marcus Wilkinson and Grandad Tony Wilkinson as always for being there the track side. First of all I want to give a big shoutout to Joe Finnigan for kitting me out with some new boots and a helmet for the season.

A new addition to the awning, was good to have Wilz Williams and his team with us this weekend. It was a difficult round with lots of changes in weather. Lots of building and trying different set ups in fp1 and fp2, felt like I was set for a good qualifying.

Day 2 saw the rain come in, I was building each lap qualifying and placed P33.

Just the one race this weekend, I felt like I could push hard from P33 on the grid to get a decent finish. I felt like the confidence was there to push hard.

The race started and after a crash we were behind the safty car for a few laps before the restart. An eventful few warm up laps with rain coming in and some of the grid having to start from the pits due to the uncertain weather. The track was fairly slippery after some rain coming down, but the majority of the grid stayed on dry tyres. With the wet surface throwing me off I struggled to really
get going, worrying too much about coming off the bike rather than focusing on what i’m there for… RACING. Finished P28

Learnt a lot from this weekend and know what ai need to focus on for next time.

Can’t beat myself up too much as I had a lot of support over the weekend which ai really appreciate. Good to catch up with a few old friends. Big up Joe for bringing a crew to come and support. Great to see the main man JJ as always. Shoutout to Niki Williams Racing for coming up for the day to help out, and also to Gavin Smart for helping in pit lane.

As always thanks to my sponsors and supporters, especially Marcus Wilkinson and Tony Wilkinson for keeping the dream alive.

Next round for me is Snett, with a good few weeks off I’ll be back better than ever!

Giving a go at MX racing today at my old club. It’s been over 6 years since I last raced and I’ve ridden a MX bike a handful of times since then so it will be an interesting day lol

Big shoutout to Ian @ EMD Custom Graphics for the quick turnaround to supply me with some number boards 🙂.
