Charmouth Indoor Bowls Club

Charmouth Indoor Bowls Club Charmouth Bowls Club sadly closed its outdoor bowls in 2024. We play at the Green in Barrs Lane Charmouth.

We however continue as a short mat club all year round, twice a week in Charmouth Community Hall on a Tuesday and Friday afternoon 13:40 for a 14:00 start. Charmouth Bowls Club is a long established club providing social bowls to players of all ages and abilities. In summer we play outdoor lawn bowls and in winter we move inside for short mat bowls. Opening times apply to the summer season from April - Sept , after which we will be back to indoor short mat bowls.

The final day of the summer season is Sunday 27th after which we start the short mat sessions in St Andrew’s Hall. This assumes COVID restrictions don’t stop us.

Short mat will be a maximum of 6 persons on Tuesday and Friday

Two successful days of play helped by the weather
Mostly singles play but a triple was also played while social distancing was maintained
Roll ups continue, for members at the moment, on Sunday

This will be singles format with social distancing to the fore.

No tea breaks so bring your own if you want something
