Home to Pickering this afternoon. A great shift by all of the girls today, giving top of the league a hard game. Effort was outstanding throughout the game!

Next week we’re away in a friendly to Darlington Spraire Ladies.

The week after we’re back at home for our final game of the season against Marske Ladies!

The girls from Catterick Village came together to honour the beautiful life of Lucy — the best friend of a couple of our own. Every player wore yellow ribbons in their hair, because yellow was Lucy’s colour. She shone bright like a sunflower, and today the pitch was filled with that same brightness in her memory. 🌻
Before kick-off, both teams stood together for a minute’s applause — a powerful tribute to ensure Lucy will always be heard. The sound echoed around the ground, a reminder that she will never be forgotten.
A huge thank you to Redcar for joining in and showing such compassion and support💛

York RI vs Catterick Roses

We travelled to York today with a depleated squad of 12.
As a team it took us a while to get into the game, with several players playing out of position, and some just back from injury.
Our first goal came from a Pax corner, and was headed into the back of the net by one of the York RI defenders.
We went into half time 1-0 up.
Second half we had a lot more chances, and started pushing up more with the help of our backline feeding our wingers.
We were unfortunate to concede a penalty around the 60th minute, to which the hosts levelled.
Bobbie made a lovely through ball to Pax, where she managed to shoot on target, with it rebounding off the keeper, Abi slotted it home to make it 2-1.
It was a hard graft for us today, with so many players away, and so many injured. We all had to work hard for eachother but managed to bring home the 3 points. This brings us to 3rd in the league💪

Catterick Village Roses vs Redcar Dev Ladies:

Dominant performance from the Roses today

We started off well with Pax getting on the score sheet twice in the first half, both her goals hitting the bottom corner, well away from the keeper.
We went into halftime 2-0 up.
Defence were solid throughout, and were put under pressure at some points in the game, however dealt with it very well!
Meg then scored two in the second half, one of them being a rebound from an Abi strike. Abi was creating chance after chance today, and did not stop running!
Redcar managed to pull one back late on in the second half.
Then in the last minute, H managed to get the ball in the back of the net after a few scrappy moments in the box from Redcar trying to clear it.
We went into today with a depleted squad, and the weather being absolutely horrendous, but we worked hard throughout the game to make sure we took all three points.
