The 'Oldest continuing Bike Race in the World's' forty year old course record, set by Phil Mason in 1983 0f 1m 47.6 seconds has finally been beaten.
We were blessed with ideal conditions, warm dry weather and coupled with the fact that Sevenoaks Council had swept the hill for us made a perfect day for the 127th event.
Andy Nichols of Team Lifting Gear Products had travelled down from Sheffield and set a new record of 1m 45.2 seconds.
Ben Neal also set a new junior course record of 1m 57.6 seconds to come in equal 3rd

Hi there favour to ask - I’m a member of Westerham CC and I’m trying to spread the word about the return of the Wolfe of Westerham Sportive scheduled for 4th July - start/ finish @ Westerham Brewery. Part of the proceeds are going to the Dave Rayner Fund and local charity partner the Chartwell Cancer Trust.

Would you be able to inform your members about the event as I’m sure there will be interest - a post on your FB page would be great.

It is with deep regret that we at the Catford CC are cancelling this years Hill Climb competition, due to the updated Covid19 restrictions we cannot put on the event. It is still the oldest continuing bike race in the World that has been run since 1886 having only been postponed for a few War years and the 1987 hurricane so we hope to see everyone next year. #

Here is a Survey from Philip Libre if anyone would like to help him by filling in this survey for him.

To give you a brief background on myself I'm a cyclist and engineer, who sort of got lost a bit along the way and ended up in insurance. After many years of grind I've decided to take a crack doing what I love and have designed a product to help with my other passion, cycling.

The product works a treat and aims to making Autumn/Winter cycling more tolerable, but now I need to verify that people would want it before spending serious money on getting a firm to design and manufacture a finished product.

Would it be possible for you to share the below link with your group and politely request them to (if they care to and have time) complete the survey.

No worries if you decide not to, but if you do the assistance will be greatly appreciated.

All the best,

Phill
