The 'Oldest continuing Bike Race in the World's' forty year old course record, set by Phil Mason in 1983 0f 1m 47.6 seconds has finally been beaten.
We were blessed with ideal conditions, warm dry weather and coupled with the fact that Sevenoaks Council had swept the hill for us made a perfect day for the 127th event.
Andy Nichols of Team Lifting Gear Products had travelled down from Sheffield and set a new record of 1m 45.2 seconds.
Ben Neal also set a new junior course record of 1m 57.6 seconds to come in equal 3rd
