Our end of season and final ever awards night will take place this Saturday 13th at Logue’s bar Castlederg🏆

We’d like to invite and urge all players, sponsors, supporters, friends and family to come and enjoy one final night together🤝

The night starts at 7:30pm with the awards ceremony taking place from 8pm onwards, music and karaoke to follow. We look forward to seeing you all there for what is always a great nights craic🍻

Congratulations to Jamie Logue, Dylan Russell and James Harpur who were selected for the ‘F&W Division 2 Team Of The Year’ last night at the annual league awards🔥

Dylan and James were also nominated for the divisional player of the year award but unfortunately missed out, a great achievement both placing in the top 3 none the less👏🏼

Special mention to James on another TOTY selection, that makes 4 in a row for him! Brilliant lad🤝

𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐁 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓⚠️

After a lot of thought It is with a heavy heart we announce that Castlederg United is folding before the upcoming 26/27 season.

Over the last 5 years we celebrated so many highs and stuck together over so many lows. We achieved what we set out todo, reach the top flight of the Fermanagh and Western football league with a group of friends. A lot of people didn’t think it was a realistic target to run and sustain a club so young never mind securing back to back promotions and a league cup along the way.

Running a club hasn’t been smooth sailing and it’s harder and harder each year to keep upgrading equipment and pay running costs with the forever rising prices and to compete against teams with a comfortable backing. All that aside, the main reason for folding is the difficulty of running the club with such a small committee who have other commitments away from football and are now unable to help run the club anymore.

For a few of us personally it’s been the best 5 years of our lives running and playing for this football club along side the satisfaction of progressing players and enabling people to get back in love with the sport.

We feel now is the right time to end things and give everyone the freedom and chance to hopefully push on and progress more elsewhere.

We want to massively thank all our sponsors, players past and present and fans for all the support over the past 5 years. Without the help and support from everyone involved none of this would have been possible.

End of an era❤️

On the 30th of May we will be doing a final farewell draw as a thankyou to our loyal 100 club members. This will include 15 prizes of £100 each💰

The Reserves finished their first season in Res Division 2 yesterday with an impressive win 6-1 against Enniskillen Rangers Colts which saw them finish in 5th place👏🏼

MOTM for them was Ellis miller, brilliant lad🙌🏽

Special mention to goalkeeper and player favourite Kevin Okane on scoring his first goal for the club although the celebration is somewhat questionable🤣 (goal in the comments)

That wraps up our 5th season as a club, many thanks to everyone who supported all year🔴⚫️

We would like to extend our condolences to players Adam Sayers, Andrew Gordon and Coach Alan Gordon on the passing of their Auntie/Sister in-law Gloria Aicken.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to them and their entire family circle at this hard time🙏🏼💔

𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨❌

Poor start to the new year for both teams on Saturday. A very light First Team couldn’t do enough at 2-2 to take points from a decent Mountjoy side.
Reserves travelled to Newtown to face league leaders ardstraw and gave a good account for f themselves with a very light squad aswell⚽️

This week the Firsts travel to Omagh to face Mountfield and the Reserves host Mountjoy.

𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨💪🏼

On Saturday the First Team put themselves into second place with a massive win over Irvinestown who we now draw level on points with!
The Reserves who were extremely light travelled to the Bawnacre to face Irvinestown Reserves and unfortunately came up short losing 2-0⚽️

MOTM for the Firsts was Calvin Kennedy with an outstanding game between the sticks. For the Reserves it was Harry Mills, well done lads!👏🏼
