Race 2 DNS

Not the end of the season that we wanted. Did the hard work in qualy in wet conditions to qualify really well. A blown engine sealed our fate and any chance of overhauling an 8 point championship deficit. The chance however was very small unless we got some luck. In the end it wouldnt of made no difference.

The ball was dropped right from the second race of the year at Croft with a failed suspension pushrod. That cost us a lot of points and proved costly. After that a starter motor at brands and engines in between. Reliability hasnt been good enough aswell as not getting any luck. Very disappointing to finish 2nd yet again this season. You dont get many chances and cant help but feel this was it.

A big congratulations to Matt Harbot on winning this years championship. Fully deserved. Its been level pe***ng between us all season and it was just a matter of who got there first. Having worked alongside Matt and his dad in the paddock all year no one can under estimate the effort they both put in on the car. Well done.

Must thank Alan Harding at AHS motorsport. Alan worked relentlessly with us all putting in countless hours on the engine all year to combat all of the problems and kept us in the fight all the way to the end. Cheers Al, appreciated.

On that note thats it. Unfortunatly the rising costs of everything has ruled another season out. Been a tough season and all the hard work gone to waste. Going forward we might do a couple of races next year and hope to possibly return the year after but this is pending.....In the meantime we will be working on stuff behind the scenes if a return is going to happen. Thanks to everyone in the Vee paddock, have enjoyed every minute with you all.

Doing the chasing but its close and going to a track that we ve always performed well at. Can only try our best.

Strong weekend results wise picking up valuable points but cant help but feel disappointed on losing further ground in the championship, from a 2 point deficit to now an 8 point deficit. This now makes it an uphill struggle. Went into Oulton Park knowing we would be strong here but it wasnt quite good enough. Just lacking a small bit of engine performance. Its still close so anything can happen and have been lucky to keep it this close considering the issues throughout this season. Donington Park up next in 3 weeks for the final 2 races of the season.

Wet weather was the scene for Brands Hatch. Qualy didnt go too well but it was enough to be within contention.

Race 1 resulted in a DNS. Engine cutting out and starter motor packed in.

Race 2. Bit shocked to win that one, Coming from P8 to win the race on the line in 6 laps. The car came alive as it started drying out. This was all after getting a reprieve after the engine cut again on the start dropping us way down the order. A red flag saved the day and the grid was re shuffled back to where we started.

Oulton Park up next in 3 weeks and still in championship contention.

Craig Bell heads the Zamp Helmets EU Formula Vee Championship by just 14 points over Matt Harbot heading into Saturday's double header at Brands Hatch.

The two AHS Dominator drivers have both won three races this season. Bell has scored seven podiums to Harbot’s six. Vaughn Jones sits third in the points, another 14 back from Harbot, in his Storm which he has taken to the podium three times this year. Unlike Harbot and Bell, he has finished inside the top ten in every race.

Leon Frost is fourth in the points after taking his first victory at Cadwell Park in his GAC and is 17 behind Jones but only one ahead of Bill Garner, who was on the overall podium at Silverstone in his class B leading Maverick.
