A bonus point loss this weekend in our final league match of the season. Couldn't have asked much more from the lads given the number of players unavailable and injured.

The 15 1/2 players travelled down to Guildfordians and played their heart out. The strong winds essentially negated a functional lineout for either side, and passing backs play was also hindered play. But a few more great line breaks from the home team were the difference on the day.

A number of club best performances from a few of our players and couldn't have asked more from the lads on the day.

It’s the final league game of the season tomorrow and much like last season, we travel away to Guildfordians! With neither side having much to play for, tensions have never been so mid, but we’ve been told there’s a BBQ after sooo we’re game…

Before the team sheet, some fantastic news, M&C are delighted to welcome back Ed Marsh, who will be back coaching at the club. 💚💜 Marsh was pivotal in so many fantastic achievements at the club so we’re delighted to see him back.

🔁 Richardson (assuming the Vice Captain role 🫡 ) returns to the front row, replacing the injured Gale, who continues to pick up the most ridiculous injuries ever seen at a rugby club. Richardson joins B. Jones and Horner. Wach and Drew-Wiltshire make up the Second Row. Timms, after two tries last week against Merton, the backs were worried of being shown up again, so he’s returned to the forwards. He joins A. O’Neill and Ridley, who enjoyed a MOTM performance last match.

🔁 P. Jones takes Skipper tomorrow in Parker’s absence 🫡. Dolan takes the 10 shirt having impressed in both half back roles in recent weeks. Semanja makes his M&C debut and joins the centres alongside Payne who emerges into the centres from the safety of the wing. A try will make him top scorer this season so the wingers shouldn’t expect much ball tomorrow.
Brown makes his first start of the season after suffering a stupid tour-based injury, but not quite as stupid as Gale’s, and goes into the back three alongside Gardner and Lee.

🔁 Waller is your finisher and is hoping no one else gets injured.

A great win for M&C yesterday as we secured the double in the local derby against Merton!

A fantastic performance and wonderful to see so many faces come down to cheer on the lads on President’s Day! What a result!

We’re back in league action against Wandsworthians who’ve had a strong season.

🔁 Gale, B. Jones and Ridley start in the Front Row, with L. O’Neill and Parker (C) continuing their Second Row Partnership. O’Neill and Dodgson will be your Flankers, with Richardson taking the 8 jersey.

🔁 Dolan after his MOTM performance against Feltham returns at 9, with P. Jones at 10. Birthday Boy Thornton starts at 12 and Timms at 13. Waller, Wach and Lee and your Back Three.

Six tries for M&C this weekend as they secured a good win against Feltham.

The first half was hugely competitive with both sides giving everything. Second half as the match became more fractious, with some tensions rising, the game became more stop-start. However despite the broken second half gameplay, M&C were able to come away with the five points.

An excellent performance from M&C overall however, with a number of great team tries scored.

Congrats to Robin Matthews and Ramesh Fernando on making their club debuts!

Slightly later than planned Team Sheet. Tomorrow we welcome Feltham RFC to Dewsbury Cottage!

🔁 Scales (VC), Gale and Ridley start in the Front Row. L. O’Neill is joined by
Wach in second row. Dodgson and McPaul-Jarvis are joined in the back row by Waller who makes his first start following an MCL injury in May.

🔁 P. Jones (Captaining the side) starts at 9, with Thornton at 10.
Fernando makes his debut start in the centre alongside Liyanage.
Lee, Payne and Dolan make up the back three.

Matthews, also making his debut and will be a finisher alongside Horner.
