The services of Charlie Ned George have been retained for the upcoming season.
Charlie Ned George played a short but memorable part in Carshalton Athleticβs 2025/26 season, making his mark during a crucial stage of the Robinsβ Isthmian League Premier Division campaign.
A midfielder, wearing the number 12 shirt and giving Carshalton Boss Steven Bates another attacking option from the bench.
His standout moment came on Saturday 7 March 2026, when Carshalton Athletic defeated Canvey Island 3-1 at Colston Avenue. It was a hugely important win for the Robins, ending a long wait for a league victory and helping the side build momentum in their battle to move away from danger.
Carshalton had fallen behind to a Mike Finneran header, before Bryan Ifeanyi levelled from the penalty spot. After Canvey were reduced to ten men, substitute Tolu Ladapo put the Robins 2-1 ahead. Then, in the 78th minute, Charlie George produced the decisive third goal. Picking the ball up just outside the box, he drove a low shot towards goal which beat goalkeeper Jacob Marsden and found the bottom corner.
It was a composed and confident finish, and one that gave Carshalton breathing space in a match they could not afford to let slip.
Charlieβs contribution may have come late in the season, but it arrived at an important time. In a period where every point mattered.
