Another strong result for the girls on Saturday as they took on DUSC Lions at Moneymusk.

Our back 5 deserve special recognition this week as their positioning and teammate covering was outstanding. A tough defense to break - Chantelle, Isabella, Ellin-ann, Anna & Casey 🥅

Some cracking goals from our strikers Brooke & Orlagh, enhanced beautifully by our Midfielder Amber and our left Winger Emily ⚽️ who both scored show stoppers 👏

DUSC fought hard and got their first goal from a clearly well rehearsed short corner that they finished it off in style! It was fantastic 👏 Their fight was again rewarded with a 2nd goal shortly after.

Every girl on the pitch worked hard and Carnousite have a break this week, hopefully enough time for any injuries to recover.

Early start this morning - the girls made their way to our hosts, Forfar Farmington for a 9.30 KO ⚽️
We made a bright start to the game, close with Charlie and some good play from Mya out wide - but unfortunately we were had in the 17th minute when a through bal, over the top was latched onto from their striker and although Casey got to it it went in for 1-0!
From their striker kick off, it seemed to get the girls going and more chances came before Brooke unleashed an unbelievable strike to make it 1-1 in the 25th minute ⚽️
2nd half we continued to push and a good link up between Mya and Brooke brought the second as Brooke powers another shot past the keeper to make it 2-1 at 51 minutes ⚽️
We had other opportunities but couldn’t find the net! The girls saw the game out very well and kept good possession of the ball!

This will be a real tough challenge for the girls tomorrow as they take on Dundee West Reds 16s - a tier 1 team in the higher age group.
It's all about learning and taking everything they can away from these more experienced teams! Last one before season starts back on Saturday ⚽️❤️🙌

A dominating display but unfortunately didn't go our way in the end.
Recover and regroup - on to the next one 🙌

Tomorrow sees our 3rd friendly of the week - the girls are buzzing for the season starting back next week! (Not before they squeeze in another friendly next Wednesday)...
