🩷No experience needed — just come as you are, bring a yoga mat, blanket and anything else that allows you to get cozy & comfortable and let the sound waves do the rest. Spare yoga mats are available to use if you need one.

Have you ever noticed yourself shaking after something stressful?

Maybe you've just come out of the dentist and your hands are trembling a little. Maybe you've been stuck in heavy traffic, running late and when you finally arrive, you notice your body shaking.

We often think shaking means something is wrong.

But what if it's actually a sign that your body is doing exactly what it's designed to do?

When we experience stress, our nervous system releases hormones like adrenaline and cortisol to help us respond to the situation. Once the stress has passed, the body naturally looks for ways to discharge that built-up energy.

One of those ways is through shaking or trembling.

Rather than holding onto that stress and storing it in the body, the nervous system is trying to complete the stress response cycle and return to a state of balance.

This is why shaking can actually be a very healthy and natural response.

Animals do this instinctively after a stressful event. Humans are designed to do it too but many of us have learned to suppress it because it feels uncomfortable or looks unusual.

The next time you notice your body shaking after a stressful situation, see if you can get curious instead of concerned.

Your body might simply be saying:
"I've got this. I'm letting it go."

This natural release is one of the principles behind Trauma & Tension Release Exercises (TRE®), where gentle, therapeutic tremors help the body release deep patterns of tension, stress and survival energy.

Life rarely goes in a straight line.

Sometimes the path ahead feels clear and everything makes sense. Other times it’s full of twists, delays, unexpected changes and moments that force you to stop and rethink where you’re going.

That doesn’t mean you’re failing.

It means you’re living.

The difficult times often teach us the most about our limits, our resilience, our relationships and what actually matters.

Not every season is about moving fast. Some are about adjusting, rebuilding, resting or choosing a different direction altogether.

You don’t need to have your whole future mapped out. It's a waste of energy even trying to control that.

You just need enough clarity for the next step.

Nervous system regulation 🌊☀️

Why has it taken me 3 days to settle into my holiday?

Going from constant alert and busy to zero MPH isn’t something the body adjusts to overnight. I’ve felt agitated, unsettled and unbelievably tired… and when I say I’ve slept a lot, I mean A LOT!

At first I questioned the exhaustion when I’m somewhere beautiful, with nowhere to be and nothing expected of me?

But the truth is, when you spend so much of your life in “doing mode” constantly switched on, planning, thinking, responding and holding everything together your nervous system doesn’t instantly recognise rest as safe.

It takes time for the body to come down from adrenaline, stress and overstimulation.

So instead of fighting it, I listened to what my body needed 🤍
• Slow walks
• Loads of water
• Extra sleep
• No guilt for resting
• No pressure to “make the most” of every second

And honestly… this is probably the healthiest I’ve ever been on a holiday.

TRUTH: Real rest doesn’t always feel peaceful at first.

Sometimes it looks like:
✨ sleeping for hours
✨ feeling emotional
✨ feeling unsettled
✨ not knowing what to do with the silence

That’s the nervous system decompressing.

The body needs time to adjust after living in survival mode for so long. Rest can feel uncomfortable before it feels restorative, especially when you’re used to functioning at full speed all the time.

This morning I sat alone on the beach watching the sunrise feeling rested. Just me, the ocean and the sun coming up. Pure magic 🌅

The first few days of a holiday are often recovery days, not relaxation days.

The exhaustion is release.

The stillness feels uncomfortable because the body is learning safety again.

Deep rest is a sign the nervous system is finally letting go.

And when that shift happens… you don’t just see the beauty around you, you actually feel it.

You breathe deeper.

Your body softens.

You slow down.

You come back to yourself and enjoy that holiday you've worked so hard for.

Holding space today for deep healing through Reiki Energy Healing and integrative Somatic Breathwork sessions. Where the body softens, the mind quiets and the nervous system begins to feel safe again 🤍
