stony holme is open for business as usual.
we have holes 2 to 10 open and weather permitting the back half in the next few weeks.
our caterer sammy has left to re-open the shabby scholar. however we do have a temporary arrangement for light refreshment; teas' coffees, and snacks during the daytime.
the council is carrying out a tender arrangement for the course which closes on fri 9th feb. they hope to announce the winning tender by the end of February.
THE CURRENT OPERATOR HAS SUBMITTED A BID AND HOPEFULLY BE AWARDED THE NEW CONTRACT

On Sunday the 13th March the Carlisle 10 runners will be passing through our car park.
There will be a marshal but drivers will need to arrive in a careful manner and park safely.

Our apologies as we have to close some of the back half holes again due to the heavy downpour yesterday and overnight which left some fairways water logged. The reception ladies will advise which are playable and which are not.
It is very disappointing to keep changing our message but hope you appreciate the circumstances.
We will review and update again after the weekend.

We are pleased to update that the course will have all 18 holes open from tomorrow 4th March.
All greens will be summer greens except the 4th which has a temporary green due to the main green undergoing major work to deal with water retention.
The weather forecast is good for the next couple of weeks which hopefully will see us into the summer with no more closures.

UPDATE ON THE COURSE.
AS FROM SATURDAY 26TH WE WILL HAVE THE FRONT HALF OF THE COURSE OPEN.
HOWEVER MOST HOLES WILL HAVE WINTER GREENS APART FROM THE 8TH AND 10TH GREENS.
THERE IS STILL SOME PONDING LEFT OVER AND CARE NEEDS TO BE TAKEN.
