Let's tall about sets and programing.
Muscle can either grow or shrink. Not get firmer or softer
Only doing just this today with one of my new clients.
We are three weeks into her sessions. After conditioning her body and looking into how her body moves and deals under certain stress, we took a different approach and focused on the different benefits of training.
For example when you are structuring and programing your workouts here is the key:
π«Genually, you should use repetitions between 10 and 15 reps for most exercises and muscle groups πͺ
π«Taking shorting rest breaks between each set that you undertake, ideally 30 seconds
π«You should take your body to failure or at least almost reaching to failure point and the end of every set. Lifting heavy but controlling it and keeping the technique as best you can
In summary.
You must train with weights. Lift heavy while keeping the weight controlled through the full range of the movement.
Growing lean muscle through strength to get the 'toned' look.π€
