I can confirm the following 12 teams have secured their places in Cardiff Lastball 2026:
Renegades
Krakens
BAM
Burderop Bombers
Hurricanes
Inglorious Batters
Bats Hit Crazy
Just Loco's
Lastball Legends
London Raiders
Udder Chaos
Red Dragons

This will be a 15 team single grade tournament held 29th-30th August at Rumney Rugby & Football Club (Riverside Park, Hartland Rd, Llanrumney, Rumney, Cardiff CF3 4JL.)
No camping available on site.
Dogs are allowed, we ask they are kept on the lead to prevent them from running into the games.

Entry fee is £315 per team.

No NSL1 or NSL2 Teams. Teams are restricted to a maximum of 6 NSL1/2 players on each team. NSL3 is not restricted.

What a rollercoaster of a weekend at the Diffodil Tournament 2026! 🥎 After battling through a windy and rainy Saturday, the sun finally peeked through the clouds today, and normal softball service was absolutely resumed! ☀️😎

​A huge, heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to our phenomenal tournament champions:
​Upper Cup Winners: Hurricanes
​Upper Plate Winners: Renegades
​Lower Plate Winners: B&S
​Rec Plate Winners: Inglorious Batters

​To our incredible runners-up—the Bombers, Wet Socks, Mavericks, and Red Dragons—huge commiserations! You fought hard until the very last pitch and made this such a thrilling competition to watch.

​Thank you to every single person who took part in this year's Diffodil. You brought the energy that made this weekend special! We are already counting down to 2027, and let’s all keep our fingers crossed that we finally get some glorious, decent weather next time! 🤞🌧️☀️

​We can’t wait to see you all on the diamond again soon!

What a day! Saturday was a proper "wet and wild" experience. Between the wind turning our shelters into tumbleweeds and the grounds becoming a slip-and-slide, it’s a miracle we managed to get the games in at all.

We’re still trying to track down the player on Pitch 2 who, rumour has it, slid into 3rd base with such momentum that they just kept on going straight into the bar—they haven't been seen since!

​Here are the current standings after Saturday's round-robin games.

​Let's keep our fingers crossed and pray the weather gods are a bit kinder to us today. Good luck to everyone getting back out there! 🥎🌧️

🥎 TOURNAMENT WEEKEND IS FINALLY HERE! 🥎

​The wait is officially over! Get ready for two epic days of softball action as Cardiff Softball hosts our annual tournament over at Rumney Rugby Club starting tomorrow morning! 🥳🙌

​Here is what you need to know for the weekend:
​The Vibe: Unfortunately, we won't have the blazing sunshine of tournaments past ☁️ Standard British summertime rules apply, but a little cloud cover isn't going to damp our spirits—we are still going to have an absolute blast! 🎉

​Food & Drink: The on-site bar will be open and fully stocked to keep you hydrated, and there is normally hot food served to keep your energy up between games. 🍔🍺

​We are so buzzing to get this tournament underway. Pack your layers, bring your best team spirit, and let's make this weekend unforgettable.
​Can't wait to see you all out there tomorrow on the Diamond! Let's play ball! 💎⚾🔥
