Our 2027 helmets from John McVey KASK safety KASK Sport have arrived, and the riders are going to look sharp next season.

A massive thank you to KASK for backing us in our first year. It means a lot to a new team like ours.

We haven’t been accepted yet. But we’ve applied.

The first race applications for 2027 are starting to go in.

We’re hoping to race in the UK, France, Belgium and Ireland next year. No idea yet exactly where we’ll end up, but hopefully we’ll get the chance to race at some great events.

Let’s see where 2027 takes us. 🇬🇧🇫🇷🇧🇪🇮🇪

Year one. A team built from Maindy Flyers Cycling Club, founded by Watts Occurring 🚲, and a group of juniors ready to test themselves against the best. The application pack is out of the door. Now we wait 🤞

We’re going pink for October 💗

You might notice our Watts Occurring Racing colours looking a little different this month.

We’re joining Beicio Cymru and others across Welsh cycling in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so we’ve added the pink ribbon to our logos for October.

Breast cancer affects so many people and families, and we’re proud to play a small part in raising awareness and keeping the conversation going.

Wear pink. Talk about it. Check yourself. And if you can, support the charities and researchers doing important work around breast cancer. đź’—

We’ve learnt pretty quickly that £1,000 doesn’t go very far when you’re setting up a new race team!

There’s all the obvious stuff like kit, a gazebo and getting the team car ready. Then you start adding up race entries, accommodation, crossings, fuel, tolls and everything else that comes with taking six riders racing in the UK and Europe.

It soon adds up.

Ultimately though, every bit of support we receive means we can give our riders more opportunities to race, learn and develop.

We’re really fortunate to have some brilliant businesses helping us make it happen.

You’ll see their logos on our kit next year. This is a little bit of what sits behind them.
