Dinas Powys first team travelled to Cardiff Sophia Gardens for a friendly today and it was an encouraging win for Dinas on all rinks.

Pontrhydyfen travelled to St Andrews Road to play our second team knowing a win would secure promotion for them. In which they did this by 46-shots.

Dinas Powys travelled to Rhiwbina today, with what looked like a quick surface. Dinas started the better and by 10 ends led the home side by 5 shots with 2 rinks up. The game tightened up and by 16 ends Dinas were only 3 shots up, but a impressive end to the game saw Dinas run out winners by 6 shots and more importantly securing 12 points.

More impressively today's honours go to our second team who put in a massive shift to beat St Joseph's by 4 shots 68-64 but more importantly securing 12 points in their first season in the private greens.

Dinas Powys travelled to the Bridgend Warriors today in hope of keeping their winning run going. On a slick surface Dinas settled the quicker and by the halfway point lead by 4 shots with 2 rinks a piece, but the Warriors were not done with the Warrior Army shouting off the bank Bridgend came back and by 15 ends had edged in front on 3 rinks and 1 shot overall. Dinas however found another level and push home to win by 9 shots.

On a cold wet afternoon, only joking, clear blue sky's and very warm afternoon Dinas Powys travelled to Ystradfechan for a top of the table clash.

After 10 ends the home side had made advantage of the slick surface one way and slightly heavier surface the other count and led Dinas by 12 shots. By 15 ends the visitors had got there noses in front to lead by 4 shots and at this stage only winning on 1 rink.

Dinas fought hard the last 6 ends across the board to eventually take 12 of the 14 points available and win by 16 shots.

Dinas would like to thank Ystradfechan for there hospitality today the drinks supplied and a superb tea after.
