If you’re 16-19 years old and looking for a new sport you should try American Football, the game has been growing massively in the UK in recent years and the Mavericks have been growing stronger and stronger, we want to give everyone the opportunity to try the sport so the first session is free!

All you need to bring is:
Footwear appropriate for a 3G pitch
Gum Shield
Water

We train Sundays 2pm-3:30pm at (The Langton Grammar School for Boys, Langton Ln, Nackington Rd, Canterbury CT4 7AS)

Our East Kent Mavericks u19s made the journey up to Cambridge to face the Cambridgeshire Cats in the cold, wind and rain alongside our Senior team for a battle in the elements.

Thank you to the Cats for hosting us and good luck in the rest of the season🏈

Offence - Louis De Cloedt
Our Team GB prodigy played an amazing display of football both at the Running Back and Wide Receiver positions. Scoring multiple touchdowns and gaining incredible yards in the passing game. Consistently Louis displayed the makings of a strong leader and talented football player to drive his team to victory.

Defence - Jordan Bean
Our hitman veteran Linebacker showed decisive vocal leadership and acted as the backbone to a powerful defensive front. Consistently making tackles in and around the line of scrimmage and being a versatile asset to a faced paced defence.

Notable mentions
Hayden Shaw - played a phenomenal game at Quarterback
Aiden Caldwell - Kicked things off with a 70yard pick six to start the game
The Offensive Line - Not allowing a single sack and winning the game in the trenches.
Our Bristol Boys - Our guys currently at Bristol Pride continuing to make the trip down to represent their club🏈

Mavericks Win 33-6!🔴⚫️

After a strong showing from our Mavericks u19s in the 1st half, the team braved the intense heat in the 2nd to round the day. Thank you to Kent Phoenix for hosting the event and we wish them all the best for the rest of the football year🏈

Our u19s team now confidently prepare for the coming Sunday the 29th to travel alongside the Senior team in a Double Header against the Cambridgeshire Cats.

Mavericks win 12-6! After playing a slow first half conceding only a single score, our outfit came out in the 2nd half fired up and put up 2 unanswered touchdowns to seal the game.

- MVPs -
Offence / Joe Smith - Despite playing DT, Joe last minute needed to step in on offence at Centre for the majority of the game being the spearhead to a successful run game. Leading from the front for his team, Joe has earned his place as Most Valued Player on the day.

Defence / Liam Main - Liam played a sure role back at Safety, by only 1 deep pass completion for their offense. In addition to this Liam played a key role in stuffing the run game on critical plays and shutting down any runs/passes coming his way.
